Chapter thirty-seven
Pamela's phone rang, disrupting Austin and Pamela's conversation.
"Hi, dad. What's up?" Pamela's brows drew into knots immediately and her eyes dilated in surprise. She signalled to Austin to excuse her.
"Right now?" Austin could hear that much before she glided away from him. He wondered what the problem was because Pamela's face wasn't so inviting.
Pamela walked back to meet Austin after some five minutes or more and Austin gave her a questioning look.
"Are you alright? What's the problem?"
"Dad just called me, he wants me to be at the office now. The new manager of Fallon's Corporation just arrived, and my presence is required at the company. An impromptu meeting was scheduled by the company which is starting in less than thirty minutes. I'm so sorry, Aust
