Abigail's hands froze in the air and she went still, staring blankly into nothingness. She felt like a two-edged sword pierced her heart. She felt broken, shattered and numb, just like a door knob. Her eyes welled with more tears and her head excruciated with pain. Right there, she felt like her world had crumbled right in front of her. Austin's rejection hit her hard like a volcano, his words felt like acid to her.
