[ Time skip, 4:50 PM]

Adalia and Steven walked out of the meeting room. Adalia was steaming with

anger.

" Why does two Smith's marriage will effect our business?"she said with anger

"Cause the two biggest hotshots merge together In business again public's attention towards them, and we'll be less noticed and this one reason is more than enough to pull all the other competitors down.". Steven replied.

"What's your father trying to do? Is he selling his own son for business?" Adalia was losing her mind.

" You Know very well what he wants. How can we save to a ourselves from this? I know It won't severe much damage but it'll definitely effect his year's revenue." Steven said to Adalia as he was looking through some files still continued, "Why don't you give headlines tomorrow 'Hui-seok and Han-Yak group of Industries deepens their bond in Business and family." He laughed out loud.

" Very funny." Adalia sarcastically said as she stormed out.

[ Time skip 9:00 PM]

Adalia entered her apartment. Her mind completely filled with thoughts of the interview and the article. She sat on the sofa, the silence around the room was killing her, it kept reminding of her of him. The words he spoke was constantly echoing in her ears.

"I vow to never leave you ever."

"We are bound to be together, Adalia." "This is completely a love marriage."

"STOP" She shouted. "No, even 1 min here will Kill me." She took her Keys and drove to the club nearby. She walked inside and sat in a place filled with voices and musics. She deeded to finally let it go tonight, No more being a good girl, no more under self control, no more thinking about him.

"what can I get for you? Bartender asked Adalia.

"Give me something strong, Just one shot should knock me out of this world and never even remember such day exist in my life." Adalia asked the Bartender.

"Wait a moment." He said and Within min's he came with a glass full of drink. She gulped down the drink, the soreness hurt here throat but she liked the feeling.

"Can I get more of whatever this is?" Adalia asked the Bartender.

"Sure." he smiled. She was feeling very light headed. "One more "She ordered.

Bartender kept the shots infront of her looking kinda worried. It was here 6th shot. she extended her hand to grab the shot. Before she could reach a hand took the drink from the table.

"Hey, that's mine." She turned towards whoever took her drink only to look at a man drinking her shot. Bartender's eyes widened looking at the person he bowed 90° towards him.

"Boss..." Bartender said as he bowed.

Adalia looked at him with here half eyes opened.

"Boss?" She said as she tried to open here eyes to look at the person clearly, An Insanely handsome man, on his twenties eye piercing through her like arrows. She looked at him straighted as she swayed a little.

"Bacauti?" The man asked as he kept the glass on the table.

"Yes, boss." Bartender replied.

"Are you a gangster?" She asked suddenly.

"What?" The man looked at here amused. His eyes focusing more intently on her.

"I always wanted to marry a gangster." She squealed and jumped off excitedly from her seat struggling to stand straight. He held her wrist making her stand straight and supporting her in his arms. She held his coat and supported her whole body against him. She looked at him cutely and smiled.

"Will you marry me Mr gangster?" she asked her eyes full of hope. His eyes widened.

" Do you have any idea what are you saying beautiful lady?" He whispered and chuckled .

"But why do you want to marry a gangster?" he questioned her.

"Because they won't abandon you. They'll stay loyal and and I know you'll never abandon the person you love. So, let's get married quickly." She pulled him closer, his face inches apart hers..

" I would have chosen to be a gangster if I had known I'd receive such a beautiful proposal today." He sighed, admiring her in his arms. She was completely drunk and was losing has conscious. Ho took her phone and searched through the contact number he wanted and pressed the call.

"Hey, Adalia, what's wrong? At this hour?" Steven asked worriedly through the phone.

"Your CEO is completely drunk and unconscious at any bar, can you come and take her home? Unless you want me to do it." The man said as he chuckled. She leaned her head on his chest and started punching him weakly.

" Why aren't you marrying me? Am I not good enough? Should I wear short dresses? Wear make up? Hey! Mister gangster?" Adalia said to the man.

He made her sit on the chair and she leaned here head on the counter mumbling.

"If only you were sober honey..I would have taken you without any hesitation." The man said as he sighed.

Steven reached the bar withing 15 mins and saw Adalia with her head resting on the encounter. She was covered by a coat. Next to her was the person who called him.

"Here!!" The man waved at steven. Steven tried to keep calm. He went closer to her and slowly shook her to wake her up.

she was continuously mumbling," That bastard, how could he do this to me? It's a trap, don't fall for it. Your father is not a good person, don't trust him."

"Looks like she still cares about him." The man said staring at Adalia. Steven ignored him. He removed the coat on her and gently covered her with his coat, then took her arms and put it around his neck. He slowly lifted her up bridal style.

"Thanks for letting me know and sorry for the inconvenience caused!" Steven said to the man.

"No, It wasn't on inconvenience, it's a pleasure to know the person who has the nerve to reject 'Hui-seok' group of industries proposal." He smirked.

Steven turned and looked at him and said, "She's not the right person for the intention of your family. She is an independent woman who can take decision on her own and live the way she wants . She Will Never. Become. The. Puppet. Of . Your . Need. and I'll never through let that happen. she has already gone through a lot because of my family and I'll never let them happen again. So, keep your hands off her, with that he walked away. The man smirked and gulped down his drink, his eyes determined.

[Time skip, Next day 6.10PM]

Adalia and steven was discussing about the new pharmacy Har-Yak is planning to open in Daegu.

"In Daegu, we have only one pharmacy in the main city I received comments that people living at the outskirts find it difficult to the main city, so we have to open." Adalia said going through some papers.

"Do you remember anything from yesterday?" Steven suddenly asked making She shocked at his sudden question.

"We are middle of a discos-" she got cut of by Steven again asking, "Do you remember anything?" his eyes concerned, and there're some sorts of fear too.

"Did I caused any trouble?" she asked fatly. He gently shook his head indicating a no.

"Then why bother?"she replied.

"Do you remember who you met and what

you spoke to that person?"

"Which person?" She asked as she raised her eyebrows and added, "Did I meet someone I shouldn't have met?"

"No, it's not like that. I Jus-"

Adalia was getting annoyed. This conversation as utterly unnecessary.

"Steven, as far as my memory goes I went to bar took six shots and knocked out and as you said I didn't cause any trouble, so shouldn't we be fine with that?" Adalia said trying her best not to get angry.

"Cool, got it. Let's get back to the discussion." He sighed in relief. Suddenly the door brusted open Revealing Mrs. Bake.

"Oh, look who do we have here, cute little love binds. Did I come at a wrong time?" she said as She came into the room.

"What do you want Mrs Bake?" Adalia asked.

"This is how you speak to your mother. Honey see how our daughter respects me."

Only then they noticed Mrs Bake wasn't alone. Mr. Bake and Ji-Hoon aka Adalia's step brother entered the room following Mrs. Bake. Adalia stood up from her sit.

Steven sensed a really bad aura. He stood closer to Adalia.

"What can I do for you all?" she asked coldly.

"This is not how you welcome your family,Adalia." Mr. Bake said a bit disappointed on her.

"Well then how about this? May I know the purpose of you all being here?" She asked very politely but they could feel the sarcasm in her voice.

"ADALIA." Mr. Bake Raised his voice.

"Cool down, honey she's been like this always. Never giving respect to anyone, always rude, never considerate about others feelings. Does thinks what she thinks is right" Mrs Bake said eyeing at Adalia.

Seven looked at Mrs Bake unbelievably. Adalia had no emotion on her face.

"Let's not waste anymore of time. The stake holders will be here at any moment so Adalia," She faced her and continued.

"We are here to discuss regarding your position in Han-Yak. For the past three years you really did a great job bringing Han-Yak to the Korean market. But still the manager and the other feels there should be some changes to be done to become the best as Smith industries. Even though the ideas were proposed already, you kept denying it and it it continues Han-Yak will never flourish, we will remain at number 2 position forever and regarding your behaviour on rejecting proposal of partnership with many industries isn't helping anything. So, the manager director has come to conclusion to hold a poll, "To Elect A New CEO." Mrs. Bake said.

[After a while]

There's serious tension in the whole meeting room. Steven kept looking at Adalia. Her face hardly had any emotions, she had her eyes on the table.

"We all know why we gathered here. It's a hard decision to take but I must agree on the managing committee too. If any one to express their thoughts you are most welcome." Mrs. Bake said breaking the silence. No one in the room spoke.

"Then I'll let the 3rd party to take over." She finished off.

"Hello good evening everyone. I'm giving you the papers select the name you want and place it one the ballot box." The instructor said. They all did as he said.

After a few moment he opened the Ballot box and Started calculating the voting percentage. He cleared his throat and continued, "From now on I'll announce the result of the poll, between two eligible candidates for the CEO position in Han-Yak Ms. Adalia Bake and Mr. Ji-Hoon Bake. WITH 64%. of votes Ji-Hoon Bake claims the position of Now CEO of Han-Yak."

There was no sound in the room. Steven looked at all stake holders, They had an Obviously expression. He placed piles of documents before Adalia. She took a pen and started signing without reading the documents, As soon as She finished signing.

"Any final words?" Mrs. Bake said as she smirked.

Adalia came closer to Mrs. Bake and smiled, "b***h!!" She said as she immediately left the room without turning back. Steven stood up as well and followed her.

"Wait Steven. We need to talk." Mr. Bake' said stopping Steven. Steven stopped dead on his track. He turned around, pain of betrayal clearly reflected in his eyes. He came closer to Mr. Bake and said, "10 years ago when Adalia lost her mother, 3 years ago when my family betrayed her, when my brother abandoned her, she never broke, she never lost the purpose of her life, cause there was always a person who made her smile. There was one person whom she trusted blindly.. there was one person she loved unconditionally.... And believed he would never ever break her.... And It was you Mr. Bake."

Steven saw Mr.Bake's eyes tear up. Steven signed and controlled himself as he said,"I believe you have a reason behind all these, but to the level of humiliation to one's own daughter!?" He stopped for a while and continued,

"If I were in your place, I would have left everything to support her.. I did not expect this from you Mr.Bake.." Steven turned towards the people in the room and said, "Regarding my position as PA of CEO in Han-Yak.. I would like to resign from this designation. Apologies, I cant, sorry. I will not stay until the next PA replacements... You will get my resignation letter tomorrow." He looked at Mrs. Bake before leaving the room.
