ADALIA

I stood there embarrassed. The whole scenario rewinded inside my head. I gasped as I realized I pulled him back to kiss. O God what will he think of me from now on. It was the same in that room I pulled him back again. Adalia he already doubts about you being a p*****t and now you have proved it. How will I face him now? I whined hitting my head hard.

I quickly changed and splashed water all over my face. Wake up Adalia, Wake up. Things have gone wrong two times. Let's not make it three times. I was self-taking when I heard a knock.

"If you are done whining and complaining yourself for being a p*****t. Can you come out? we have to get down now." Kai said .

Was he listening? I was more embarrassed. I took a deep breath and kept a straight face. I came out, he was standing across the door his arms crossed. He had a mocking eye and a smirk. I ignored him and

went towards the door. The train stopped slowly. We got down and looked for station master.

"Hello sir, actually we have to get to Busan. Can you please guide us? Even a night bus would do good." Kai said politely.

"We have night buses here, I'll give you the address and phone number can you call them and ask?" The station master said.

"Sure, thanks."

He called them and enquired about the bus. He turned towards me.

"There are buses from here at 12:00 AM, we will reach Busan within 3 hours. is it fine? Or if you wanna stay for the night we can." He said facing me.

"No, I already feel guilty for spoiling your trip, lets get to Busan as fast as we can and spend time with your grandmother." I replied.

He smiled and nodded. The same happiness when he first said about his grandmother reflected in his eyes. 'It is the least I can do for him' I thought myself.

We went to the night bus depot and boarded the bus towards Busan. We sat together again, me at the window seat.

"Woah! Seriously? Did we really do it?" I said thinking about what happened today.

"We did a lot of things today what exactly are you referring to?" He asked me sarcastically.

My Jaws dropped.I hit his shoulder playfully.

"I mean We really went inside a gangsters bar and made a girl escape from there.” I said excitedly.

"Yes we did." He said shaking his head unbelievably. "And I wanted to ask. why were you in a traditional gown?"

"Ah!The people wanted me to change into that. Looks like the person who booked me wanted to see me in a traditional gown." I said not wanting to tell about Yohan.

"But the person looked so authoritive. The security guards even addressed him Boss."

"Really. I did not notice with my nervousness. Was he really the Boss? He looked so young." I trailed.

He looked at me doubting.

"Anyways you are safe and that's all matters. And I must agree. you were amazing today."

"It was not easy." I whispered looking out of the window. "But I had no other way."

"I understand, it is definitely not easy. But I'm proud of you. You did good." He tucked my hair that was falling on my cheek.

It felt good when he genuinely appreciated me. I wished I would get these appreciation and understanding throughout my life. He intertwined our fingers together.

"Remember, we are always in this together." I nodded happily.

I looked out of the moving bus. Passing through city lights and star filled sky. Kai was sleeping soundly next to me his head on my shoulders. It was under the exact scenario I met him. I smiled thinking about the events that happened till now. A strange happiness started to full me. I was actually happy about what happened today. I was content and satisfied that I saved a life. I did not feel this much happiness when 'Han-Yak' rose to the most desirable company in Korea with an outstanding revenue reached. I looked at the person next to me. It would have been impossible without him.

The information that Yohan shared kept bugging me. Was it really true or is he making up a*********s? As long as I know Yohan he is right, he never leaks any information's without conforming it many times. If whatever he said is true then I have to return to Seoul immediately. More than that the incident with Kai kept repeating in my head. Why did I kiss him back. That too not once but twice. Do I really like him or is it just an infatuation? My heart beats crazily whenever I meet him. I'm quite comfortable with him and when Yohan's men were chasing me I was not scared much because I knew I would meet him or he would come in search of me. I just wanted to escape until he came. That means I trust him completely that he would not leave me alone. But Just because I trust him doesn't verify any fact that I pulled him again for a kiss. What if It's pure infatuation I pulled him back to satisfy my desires. No he kissed me first. At first he did because of the situation, next because he was worried. Maybe he likes me too. But It took 2 years for me to feel and love my ex-boyfriend. And it has been just 3 days and now I'm already in love? I closed my eyes and shook my head vigorously Stop thinking Adalia. whatever happened let's sit and talk with him, clarify our relationship perfectly and then move to the next step. I kept staring outside the window for the rest of our journey. I looked at the time 3:00 AM, I sighed in relief. Finally, we reached Busan. I woke him up.

"Did you sleep?" He asked.

"No, I did not feel like."

He turned towards me, his eyes concerned. I looked away, I don't want to confuse me more. He gently grabbed my chin and made me look at him.

"What's wrong?" he voiced filled with worry.

I pushed his hand away.

"Nothing."

I could sense he was staring at me intently.

"Ok, you can tell when you want to. I'm not forcing you. By the way we are getting down." He pointed out a bus stop.

We got down, he turned right and started walking along the road taking long strides. I could tell he is dead angry just looking at his back. I gulped and followed him silently. He stopped at a house and opened the gate and held it waiting for me to get in.

"Me too?" I asked him.

"Where do you think you can go now. Unless you can find a bath house that is opened for 24 hrs. And for your information there isn't one around her-"

I rushed inside, I don't want to hear his lecture. He opened the door of the house on the second floor and we got inside.

"Whose house is this?" I asked.

"Mine."

"What? Aren't we meeting your grandmother?" I asked.

"we are meeting her tomorrow, not at this hour." He replied coldly.

"Does she live away?"

"You ask too many questions. Yes she is away. we are meeting her at 8:00 clock. get ready by then." He replied.

He answers were curt. Look at him talk one way and behave other way.

"I'll take the couc-" I got cut off.

"You are my guest and I don't make my guests sleep on the couch."With that he slumped on the couch.

I could see he is angry at my behavior in the bus. I slowly went near him and kneeled down next to the sofa.

"Are you angry?" I asked.

He looked away "Why should I be?"

"Cause I did not answer your question and pushed you away?"

He sat up in the couch. Looking at me tenderly. He made me sit next to him.

"Now say, what's wrong?" He asked .

"Well, its about what happened today. I just wanted to know why did you-" I got cut off again.

"Why did I kiss you?" He asked in his deep voice.

"Y-Yes, in the VVIP room and in the lavatory?"

He took a deep breath and looked up. He looked like he was putting right words together.

"Technically, I was in a VVIP room waiting for my girl for the night to arrive. But there was a commotion outside searching for you at every rooms and you were inside my room. What did you expect me to do? Sit and talk leisurely with the girl I booked for the night or be in the middle of the reason for which exactly I booked her?" He asked raising his eyebrow.

"Uh-Huh." I don't know what to say. So he just behaved that way to save me.

"Well, It's my turn now. Why did you pull me again for the kiss. Not only in the room but also in the lavatory?" He asked his eyes piercing mine.

I did not answer, I don't know the answer for that myself.

"Answer me wild-cat, then I will answer your next question."

"I don't know, I myself don't know why I did that" I lowered my eyes not able to look at him anymore.

He chuckled.

"DO YOU LIKE ME?"
