Laura's POV:
The evening was calm and peaceful. Sam was engaged in cleaning up the mess in the dining and cooking a fresh food, free from poison.
I could see the guilt inside her, how she struggled to carry out all her activities without looking into my eyes.
"Sam, look at me." I walked into the kitchen and called out to her. I saw as fear suddenly gripped her body the moment she heard her voice.
"Yes ma'am, do you need me to do anything?" She replied, her eyes moving from one object to the other.
"Yes Sam, I need you to look at me and smile. You didn't do anything wrong, you saved my life instead. If not for the constant signs you gave me, three lives would have been lost." I maintained a gentle tone, as I tried to encourage her and brighten her mood.
