Alex's POV:
Magnus must have thought me a fool to think I would actually go home and wait for an unreasonable confirmation.
I stood by a corner and watched everyone who went in and out, it seemed there was a meeting going on amongst elders but there was something suspicious at the end.
I counted the number of elders that went in and they all came out except one. I knew Magnus was up to something.
I walked to the window of the house, trying as much as I could not to make any sound with my feet. I bent low and opened my ears to listen.
At first, all I could hear was silence but I waited. Soon after, I heard murmurings from a conversation, I had to go to the other side of the house to hear clearly. I hurried, but quietly so as not to miss out on the details of their secrecy.
