*Third POV*
Laura wandered through the four corners of the pack’s main house, uncertain how to spend the rest of the day. She questioned her idleness, already thinking ahead—wondering how she’d fill her days once she officially became Luna.
A lingering memory returned: her mother’s constant complaints about her always being off with Sonia, leaving her alone during the day. The guilt gnawed at her—her mother had deserved more of her time. Time she could no longer give.
Traditionally, a Luna in the Black Pearl Pack had few responsibilities outside of war and training the children in self-defense. The Alpha managed everything else. But Laura wanted to change that. She didn't want to be a figurehead—she wanted to be a Luna the pack could *rely* on.
