Transmigration
Han Shaoyan was lying on the hospital bed. He looked at his mother, who held his right hand tightly, as though he would disappear in the next second. Her heart was clearly breaking into small pieces, but she still put a gentle smile on her face. But with each falling tear, it turned into a miserable sob. With her trembling lips, she kissed his hand in consolation.
He turned his eyes to the left as he felt his father lovingly set his slightly disheveled hair. This man has loved him and pampered his whole life. Now that he was dying, Han Shaoyan was worried that he would become sad for a long time.
His younger brother was always full of words, but today, he just hugged his left hand in his embrace and refused to look up. Even the thought of his big brothers' death was suffocating for him.
His younger sister looked the most miserable one. She failed to stop crying, even though they had all decided to send him off with a smile. For the pampered princess of the Han house, it was the first time to lose someone; it was even her elder brother.
After fighting cancer for three years, his certain death was still unavoidable. But he had already made peace with it. He had lived for 24 years and, luckily, got the best family in this world.
It would be a lie to say that he was ready for his death; if he could, he would definitely want to find a lover & spend a happy life with his family. Even up to this point, his desire to live was still there. But in this life, his journey had come to an end.
Han Shaoyan could feel that his life was slipping out of his body. He took one last look over his family & then, with his remaining strength, he spoke for the last time.
"Mom, Dad, I want you both to know that I love you so much. You have always loved me and cared for me. You are the best parents in this whole world. Mom, please don't cry too much after I'm gone; only a smile fits you the best. Dad, I'm sorry that I couldn't carry your burdens, even for a day. Don't let mom mourn for too long and take care of your health. I would be watching over all of you."
"Xiao Jun, I'm entrusting all my responsibilities to you. Take care of our family and listen to mom-dad. Although I never said it, I'm very proud of you. In the future, don't act carelessly anymore and, also, protect our sister well."
Lastly, he looked at his sister, who desperately clutched onto him. With great difficulty, he pulled off a smile and shook his head.
"Xiao Li, be good. It's time for the brother to go. You don't have to be so sad. After I'm gone, there will be a prince who will love you even more than me."
Han Li was agitated and immediately refused.
"I don't want any shitty prince; I only want my brother! Don't go, brother..."
Han Shaoyan chuckled slightly and looked at her dotingly. He would've said a few more things to her, but it was too laborious for him now. Others also realized this and became tense. All of them had tears in their eyes. It was hard for them to send him off like this.
"I love you all, goodbye..."
With difficulty, he finally said his last words, and then his senses started to blur. Before totally losing consciousness, he felt his mother's kiss on his forehead and her whispering- 'I love you too, my boy.'
.....
Han Shaoyan thought that was the end of him. After his death, there was no feeling nor any sense of existence. But suddenly, he felt something. He was feeling cold.
'Wait! Feeling cold? How come I'm still alive?'
With confusion, he opened his eyes. It took a few seconds to stabilize his vision. When he looked around, he found that it was an unfamiliar room. Also, it was not only very spacious but also really extravagant.
He was the son of a person who was rich enough to be listed in the top 5 in the world. So, when he said it was luxurious, it was almost beyond money.
Han Shaoyan was in awe, but it was not the time to appreciate the beauty of this unknown place. He got off the bed and headed outside. But on second thought, he decided to first check on his condition. Maybe he needed to fix his clothes and hair.
When he turned towards the mirror and looked at his reflection for a few seconds, his mind turned blank. Although it resembled him, almost 70-80%; it was still not his body!
He was perplexed by this sudden turn of events. As he was taking his time to digest this fact, he suddenly felt a sharp pain inside his head. He groaned and lost his strength as he sat on the floor.
He held his head tightly and pressed it on his knees. All the memories of the original owner of this body flooded inside his mind.
His name was also Han Shaoyan, but he was the second son of Han Jiming, the emperor of the Kingdom- Geino.
He has an elder step-brother, Han Liang, who is the crown prince of Geino. He is a calm, rational, wise, and intelligent person. His claim to the throne was very logical. But the original owner of this body was someone with no ability but high ambitions. He tried to cause trouble many times, but his pity plans had no effect on Han Liang's position.
Han Liang never retaliated against the original owner. He treated him as a rebellious child and ignored his hostility. For one- his stepmother was a good person, and Han Shaoyan was her only child. So, he was indulgent towards him, as he really regarded him as his brother. Second- in this generation, only he & Han Shaoyan were in line for the throne. So, there was no need to turn against his own brother.
In around only 2 minutes, Han Shaoyan received all the memories of the original owner of his body. Then he concluded - 'The original owner was an absolute i***t!.'
Han Shaoyan gazed blankly. These memories confirmed a very important fact for him. He has somehow transmigrated into the book he read just a day before his death!
