General's Meeting

"I still can't believe they are so small." Jonah stated as he looked down at the twins. I chuckled. "They are going to be strong and wise, just like you. I just hope that they never have to experience war."     "They won't." I promised him. "The phoenix and dragon runs through their blood. One is a werewolf and the other a vampire. They will be great." Jonah nodded in agreement. "Cooper and Hadrian will return here after their hunt. Should only take them a few short hours. I don't know when I will return. The meeting could last minutes or hours. No one but you, Cooper, Hadrian, Alexis, David, and Villy are allowed in here. Of course I am, but that is a given. I must go now."     "Stay safe. Try not to kill anyone." Jonah said. I huffed out a small laugh as I left the room.     "Why can't we see the twins?" Jenna asked as soon as I turned the corner. "Why do you trust Jonah more than the rest of us?"     "I don't have time for this, Jenna. I have a meeting to get to and I have no interest in being late. Do I make myself clear?" I stepped around, only to stop as she grabbed my arm.      "What happened to you? Aren't we your family?" Jenna asked, hurt filling her voice.     "Let's get one thing straight. None of you know the first thing about battle. I have seen death and I have killed. Were any of you by my side when all this happened? No! Do you have any powers to control? No! Are you a mother of fo-three children? No! You aren't a leader, Jenna. As much as you would love to think so, you aren't. You may be married to a queen, but you are no royal. You aren't a soldier. You haven't led anyone to battle. You didn't stay with me. At this rate, Ross, you are nothing but a stranger to me. You will not go near my children until I know I can trust you again. You lost the title as friend and sister." Tears filled her eyes.     I left her standing in the corridor as I went in search of Tarrant, Alexis, and David. It wasn't so hard to find them. They appear to be out in the gardens a lot these last few days. "I see the three of you are enjoying your time out here. I have a meeting to get to with my generals. Would you like to come?"      "Yeah! I've always wanted to see you in general mode. I mean, we all have kind of seen you in general mode, but we want more of it." Alexis declared.     I waved my hand and a portal opened up. "You can make portals! So cool!" Tarrant exclaimed as he jumped through the portal in excitement. I shook my head in amusement. David and Alexis followed him. I looked around and saw Jenna and Miranda storming towards me. With a smirk, I stepped through the portal.     "How come it didn't take us to the meeting hall?" Alexis asked in confusion.     "I put wards out the meeting hall just in case somebody decided that betraying me would be fun." Alexis cringed. She is probably remembering the last time someone betrayed me. "I wouldn't think too much on it."     As we entered the room, the generals all stood, showing a sign of respect. "I thank you all for coming here today. I want updates on everything that you have seen. General Lewis, starting with you." I ordered.     "Commander, myself and my men have been exploring the west. We have run into many battles. Three-hundred men lost as a whole, over five-hundred wounded. All men who have died have been sent back to their families and buried respectively. We have seen many villages be destroyed and children taken in to be trained as soldiers. We have been able to save many children and hidden them from the enemy. I have a group of men hiding in plain view of the enemy, acting as if they are loyal to their side of the war. They give me daily updates, but I fear no good comes from what they find. The enemy is planning something big for the final battle, but I have no doubt, that with your leadership, we will win." General Lewis said firmly. "I now give it over to, General Erin."     "Thank you, General Lewis. Commander, my group have taken to the south. It is mostly bare there, but we met quite a few wonderful people and potential allies, which wish to meet you. They have agreed to fight in the war, even if they have not been brought into it. They have weapons and magic that may of use to us if you allow it. They are strong in their own ways." She explained. "There are also rare creatures there that may able to helps in the war too. General Trixie, I hand it over to you."     "The east has been taken over by the enemy. The people have taken to leaving, attempting to protect their children. We were able to save many of them and get them to safety. All creatures are fleeing to the south for safety and to hide underground. Like General Lewis, we saved many children, whose parents were killed, and brought them to be under the protection of the people here, but not many are able to house the children due to the lack rooms. What do we do?" Worry laced her voice.     "We will build an orphanage and appoint a couple of people to watch over them. I will inform the mayor of this decision. I am sure he will support it. General Hela, what do you have to say about the north?" I asked her.     "No one has been able to cross the land. There is a special magic that protects the land from any threats. We were able to get. It is a jungle and I wasn't able to learn much from there. I will keep working on it, Commander. I did run into a tribe leader who wishes to speak to you, but that was all she said." General Hela informed me. She looked upset at not being able to give me more information.     "Thank you, General Hela. I want you to return back there and find the tribe leader. Inform her I will come to her in the near future. I don't know when, but I will be there." I ordered. "Now, I have found more stones and will be heading off next month in search of more. I will be starting to train my fellow...colleges or whatever I come them these days, in hope that they can reach the magic that is inside of them. I can sense their magic and they have yet to grasp it. They probably don't even know that they have magic. I will also be training them in different weapons since it appears that they now only know how to work with swords. None of them will be generals or commanders until I see that they are ready. They will be treated as trainees."     "Oh, I pity them." Alexis giggled creepily, which has Tarrant and David, along with my generals backing away from her.      "Alexis, David, you will be helping me train them with their magic. Villy is getting old and she seems to enjoy being around my children more than anything. Tarrant, you will help me train them to be better with the swords, as they are rather untalented. I will train them in other weapons. This will be enjoyable, as Alexis has said." They all chuckled at my declaration. "I will keep in contact with you. Make allies. Be careful. The meeting is done and we can now stop being formal! As it is rather late, I will have dinner served for us."
