Father Mike

I enjoyed being away from the house and from my troubles even just for a couple of hours. I feel the oppressiveness as I walk into the house. It was so thick it felt like I was walking into a thick fog. Cady motioned for Steve to step outside with her “Emily wants us to do an exorcism on her husband,” She explains in a light whisper. “You did mention that we can’t do the exorcism ourselves we have to have a priest,” Steve replies. “I didn’t mention that, I just told her we will help her,” Cady stated. “She needs our help, Steve, we can’t just sit here and do nothing,”  “Yes, she does and we will now calm down, I have a friend that lives around here I’ll give him a call,” He revealed. Steve reaches in his back pocket to retrieve his phone and started going through his contact list to find the number of his friend who he still hasn’t mentioned could help us. While he was making his phone call Cady came inside where she saw me sitting on the couch with a frightened look in my eyes. I dart my eyes over toward Jack who was standing by the front windows. He has a look of hatred on his face while his eyes are flaming bright red with fury. She realized at that point that he had heard the conversation she just had with Steve. Jack raised his hand and made Cady fly backward out the front door. “Jack no, don’t hurt her,” I scream as I jump up off the couch grabbing his hands. “Please don’t hurt her,” I pleaded. His eyes turn back to their beautiful blue color. He then walks over to the door and turns the lock on the door locking me inside while leaving Cady and Steve locked outside. I run over to the closest window to try and open it to see if Cady was alright, somehow Jack had melted the locks to where they couldn’t be opened. I grabbed a piece of paper and wrote “IS SHE OK,” on it then knocked on the window getting Steve’s attention while holding up the paper. He looks over toward me in the window then walks over carefully maneuvering through the rose bushes to read the note I was holding up. He nods his head while signing “OK,” I scribbled on the other side of the paper “MELTED LOCKS,” Hoping he understood what I wrote. Steve once again signed “Ok,” Then went back to attend to Cady. I actually let out a chuckle when I saw him pull out his car keys from his pants pocket. He didn’t have to tell me where they were going, I already knew he was taking her to the hospital to have her checked out. While they were gone and my dear ghost man was melting all the locks in the house like some crazy OCD person. I decided to get proactive. I remembered that there was a door in the closet of the second bedroom that goes underneath the house. So, I started rearranging the closet putting the extra blankets over the secret door while moving the heavier stuff on the other side. I felt better knowing that I could escape if things turned worse than they already were. I was sitting in the living room reading a book while Jack was in the kitchen making something to eat when my phone bings beside me. I glance down Cady had sent me a message. I swipe up on the screen to read it. “Try to get Jack to the hospital.” I text back “Okay I will try.” I lay back on the couch to try and figure out how I am supposed to get my possessed husband to the hospital. I decided to act like I had fallen in the shower then if I had to force him to take me to the hospital. Where Steve and Cady have supposedly recruited some people to escort us to the chapel room. Putting my plan into play I climbed into the shower where I wash up so there are soap suds in the tub. Then I stomp on the tub so it sounds like I had fallen and started screaming “Jack help!” Just as I had planned Jack came bursting into the bathroom. “Hunny, are you okay? What happened,” He questioned me looking actually concerned for me. “I slipped turning around and my feet slipped out from under me.” I moaned in fake pain. “I think I dislocated my arm it hurts really bad,” I added keeping up the fake pain in my voice. He gently pulls me out of the bathtub then helps put a dress on me and carts me off slowly to the hospital. I sit nervously in the passenger seat wondering how this was all going to play out when we got to the hospital. As we pull up in the ER drop off Jack helps me out and seats me in one of the chairs in the waiting room. “I’ll be right back I got to move the car,” Colton says lovingly as he pats my hand lightly. After he goes through the automatic doors I go to the check-in desk letting them know that we were here so they can let the others know. Thankfully the lady knew what I was talking about so that meant Cady and Steve had taken over the hospital. The receptionist lady followed me to where I was sitting prior to Jack leaving so we could act like she had come to get my information. “Okay, Ms. Johnson we call you when it’s time for you to go back,” She said as Jack came through the doors. “Is everything okay,” He asked as he sits down beside me. Before I could answer we hear a lady's voice yell “Emily Johnson,” from a nurse standing at the swinging doors leading to the back to where the rooms and the chapel are located. We follow the nurse through the doors and down a long hallway. I was led to a room with the word x-ray on it. The nurse motioned to another room across the hall “You can wait in there while we get x-rays of your wife’s arm,” She says sweetly as if it was just another day at work for her. Jack opens the door and walks in without even realizing he was walking into a trap. Just as he shut the door he was ambushed by two guys while someone else locked the door behind him. As Jack was being restrained somebody gave him a shot that put him to sleep to where they can tie him up and transport him to a nearby church for the exorcism. As they haul him off to the church Steve introduces me to his friend Father Mike. “Father Mike thank you for helping me get my husband,” I said shaking his hand. “My dear I will do what I can for your husband,” Father Mike says. “I understand, thank you,” I replied half-heartedly. I let Steve drive us to the church they had taken Jack to. I prayed the whole ride over that he would make it out of this alive and ghost-free. As we pull up in front of the only Catholic church in town, I start to feel nervous about what’s about to happen. When we enter the church, I was lead down to the basement where they had Jack restrained in a chair who was now awake. “You b***h how could you do this to me,” He growled in a voice that wasn’t his. “I want my husband back,” I sniffled back a tear. Father Mike pulls me aside and warns me that the ghost is trying to upset me so it will have another soul to possess. “Also, if you can’t handle being in here, I suggest you go up to the main floor and start praying for your husband's soul to be released,” He advises sternly. I decided to take his suggestion and go pray on the main floor there was no way I could stand seeing him in pain. While I am sitting upstairs in one of the pews, I hear screaming, crying, and what sounds like a large animal growling in pain coming from beneath me. I stay seated in the pew praying hard at the same time trying to ignore the sounds from below.
