Exorcism

"Are you sure plan b will work? I mean you did have high hopes that sprinkling holy water all over the house would work and all it did was get my furniture all wet," Emily hissed. "Emily, Father Mike never promised us that it would work," Jack snapped at her. "That's right I didn't, when you're dealing with demons you need to start off small then work your way up," Father Mike said. "Whatever let's just get this over with," Emily scoffed. "Emily come with me a minute," Jack grabbed her by the hand and led her away from everyone. "What is going on with you all of a sudden,"

"I don't know I didn't mean to snap at Father Mike, I just got angry all of a sudden, but right now not so much, what's wrong with me,"

"I'm not sure. You don't feel angry being away from the house,"

"No, I don't, I feel like I've always had,"

"Hmm, stay here a minute I'll be right back,"

Jack walked over back to where Father Mike, Cady, and Steve were waiting for him and Emily. " Father Mike something is wrong with Emily she just told me that she didn't know why she was so angry when she was standing here talking to you then just now when I walked her away from the house she was back to normal. Can you come and talk to her," He pleaded. "Of course I can it sounds like the demon is messing with her when she gets close to the house, or worse it's trying to possess her because she is clearly upset at the thought of having to leave it," They walk back across the street where Emily was waiting for them. "Emily tell Father Mike about what just happened," Jack advised her. She takes a deep breath "I'm sorry I was taking all the anger out on you I don't even know why I was even angry it just hit me out of the blue," She explained. "As I told your husband it seems that the demon is using you or it's at least trying to possess you since you are very vulnerable right now," He shared. "So what do I do about it," She beseeched him. "First thing is we need to do the exorcism on your house and if that doesn't get rid of the demon we will have to perform another exorcism on you then you will have to leave the house and never come back to it, I'm sorry,"

"It's not your fault we brought the demon here not you, so when do we start the exorcism on the house,"

"I'm sorry Emily you won't be joining us since the demon wants to use you,"

"So what do I do just wait here while you guys go to battle,"

"Actually no I recommend that you go back to the hotel and recite the Michael the Archangel prayer until I call you,"

"Oh okay and how will that help,"

"It will keep the demon from leaving the house and getting to you, the prayer will keep the demon away from finding you so to speak,"

"Well, what are we waiting for let's get this show on the road,"

"We will tonight it will be the best time to do it, so, for now, we should go to the church and prepare for tonight," 

Jack calls Steve and Cady to let them know about the situation with Emily and they both agree that she should steer clear of the house until we can get the demon to leave. We all head over to Father Mike's church to prepare for the exorcism of the house. Heading to the church was also a test to see if Emily was possessed or not. If she refuses to enter the church then the others will force her in and perform an exorcism on her. Father Mike leads us to the back entrance of the church just in case someone saw us forcing Emily into the church. He unlocks the door and goes inside first then Emily went inside without a hitch. You could hear a sigh of relief from all of us even Emily. She must have thought she was possessed also.

We follow Father Mike into his office where he handed us all a card with the prayer on one side and a depiction of what he would look like on the other. "This is the prayer we will be using tonight, I'll bring some more items with me, but for now you all should go get some rest and we will meet up across the street from the house. Emily, you stay at the hotel like we discussed repeating this prayer until I call," We all file out and head off to our hotel rooms to rest up for the night. Only Jack and Emily couldn't rest they were scared about what might happen that night. They knew if this exorcism didn't work they would have to leave the house they loved but also if things got out of control that Jack or one of the others could be killed. As the time to meet up loomed, Jack kissed Emily goodbye, started getting dressed, and then headed out to meet the others. 

Father Mike was the last to show up at the meetup point. "Sorry I'm late everyone are we ready to begin," He asked. They all shook their heads. "Jack call Emily and tell her to start reciting the prayer," He ordered.

Jack does as he is told "Emily it's time start saying the prayer I'll call you when it's over,"

"Okay, I love you, please be careful Jack,"

"I will, I love you too,"

Jack turns his attention back to the group and said "She is ready, let's do this,"

"Let's go and keep your wits about you," Father Michael said. "We are going to stand in a circle in the middle of the living room and start saying the prayer no matter what happens or what you hear don't stop," We all get our cards out as we walk into the deathly quiet house. "It's really quiet," Cady whispered. "The demon is acting as if he isn't here. Take your positions and let's start the prayer, remember whatever happens don't stop the prayer," Father Michael declared. "Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil; May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; And do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and all evil spirits who wander through the world for the ruin of souls. Amen." As we keep saying the prayer the walls start to shake, screams can be heard from every room of the house, at one point Steve is thrown back into the wall, Cady is d**g down the hallway by an invisible force. But they kept saying the prayer the whole time. The exorcism continued until the sun broke through the sky starting a new morning.
