My eyes fluttered open, and I sat up so fast on my bed.
A smile bloomed on my face. Finally, today was my birthday. I was officially an adult!
“Ummm… Wolf?”
Okay, I admitted that was stupid, but I didn’t know how this was supposed to work. I didn’t even know my wolf’s name yet, so what was I supposed to do?
I waited, but no voice sounded in my mind.
I tried calling her again, yet there was nothing.
My excitement was instantly doused in that moment.
But then I remembered not everyone would get their wolves on the first day, or even when they first woke up, so I still have hope. Maybe she’d appear later today.
