Casey awoke a few hours later to the sounds of commotion from downstairs. She groggily got to her feet, looking over at Blossom’s bed. It was empty and the bed was made. She headed to the door and opened it to see people running down the hall towards the stairs. She caught the closest person to her by the arm, “Hey, what’s going on? Is everything okay?”
“Mr. Lane, when he came back from your territory, he found Alpha Retrey hanging from a tree out front of the packhouse,” The young female wolf said, sounding like she was almost in tears. “It is horrible. It looks like he was tortured. Sebastian and Willow have called a mandatory pack meeting.”
