"A Nightmare again?" Nadiah asked, it was really getting serious.
Her mum had asked that they go pay a visit to their father's last brother Rowan and she came in to meet a scene that got her forehead creating lines of uncertainty.
Hailey was shivering like a leaf under the mercy of the wind in a mindless storm, she had just laid few minutes ago after a shower but she was sweating all over. It was alerting on it's own.
"Mmmmmm" Hailey nodded, she didn't have the strength to reply.
Nadiah gave her a knowing look and sat at the edge of the bed.
"Are you sure you don't need to talk to mum about it?". Hailey had blown this advice a week ago but Nadiah thought it was the wise thing to do.
It was the Fifth time in two weeks, Nadiah could see that It was becoming alarming, it had become a situation.
"Nadiah stop, you love blowing things out of proportion" Hailey shoved a pillow under her head.
"Do you know what blowing things out of proportion means?"
"Exactly what you are doing right now"
"Ok, how about I move out to the guest room?" Nadiah said standing up from the bed.
"Why?" Hailey was surprised.
"Because am tired of your disrespect." Nadiah's voice was pitched a little too high for the conversation.
"Wait, what? " Hailey rolled over and sat up, she didn't understand the tone her sister just used.
"Since you don't appreciate help keep the room to yourself" Nadiah opened the cupboard and started packing her stuff "Helping you is just a waste of time". she mumured loud enough for Hailey to hear.
"But I thought we were just having a conversation?". It was becoming strange.
"Well this is me blowing things out of proportion". Nadiah locked the cupboard.
"Nadiah please" Hailey sunk into the bed "You gave me a heart attack" She sighed.
"But seriously, I think you should tell mum" Nadiah suggested.
"That am having dreams? It's not new" She flipped over to her Tommy.
"A nightmare..." Natasha corrected.
"Am fine" Hailey clenched her jaws for emphasis.
"What was it this time?" Nadiah asked.
"It was meaningless". Hailey didn't want to go into details.
"It is always meaningless or at least leaves us clueless, I mean what really happened?" Nadiah specified.
"I was at this place with three people and I found myself in a cracking dangerous forest and then u woke me"..
"Mmmmm.." Nadiah thought for a while "Not scary..." She shrugged.
"You were not there" Hailey said underneath her breath.
There was something about these dreams.
First, they started after her eighteen birthday two weeks ago and there was always a familiar faint voice calling her.
She could not shake the feeling, it was a call from someone.
"Well, you can decide what to do about it later, for now we have to go see Uncle Rowan" Nadiah unplugged her phone and swiped it.
"Today?" Hailey didn't plan this, she was not ready to go anywhere.
"Yes, mum said we would leave by the end of the week".
"Really?" Hailey jumped with joy, she suddenly came alive.
"Am not doing this" Nadiah stood up and went to the wardrobe.
She opened it and took out a white crop top and blue washed jeans.
"Be ready in five" she threw them at Hailey and went out to the sitting room, she wasn't going to sticking around and watch.
Hailey's excitement about traveling was immense, it was becoming annoying.
The clouds were already pregnant high up in the sky outsude, looking at the world with a dark angry form.
It would be a better idea to stay back but she didn't want to procasinate the visit, Rowan would not understand.
Uncle Rowan as they referred to him has always been poor when it comes to understanding, she was not sure who was better when it came to him and Saldor.
In the sitting room, Nadiah slumped into her favorite couch by the right side, it had a magnificent view of the television from her angle.
Her Mother was in the kitchen preparing lunch while little Oniel was unaccounted for, probably at Don's or somewhere in the neighborhood.
Oniel was no doubt growing into a stubborn and challenging boy, he was fun to be with but at times, he got a little out of line.
Nadiah spunk the hell out of him a thousand times, he pushed her to the shores too often.
Nadiah could not help but think of what would come next when she travelled.
How was life going to treat her in Winter fell.
She had everything here in Ice town, a perfect life for a teenager at least.
Their mum didn't seem to be so concerned about the fact that they were leaving and that was something that bothered Latisha a little.
Soon enough, Hailey was all dressed up and wore her snood, something she was reputably known for, she grabbed her headphone from the table and almost stumbled by the door.
"Ready to go?" she interrupted her train of thoughts.
The excitement in Hailey's voice was not something one would miss, it was clear for all to see how much this journey meant to her.
Life in Ice town had not given her the best moments, plagued by mysterious events and now tormenting nightmares, Hailey was not having a good time.
When their father sent the invite for them to travel, Hailey could barely sleep, she spent the whole night rolling on the bed out of excitement but Nadiah understood her, Hailey needed a break from Ice town.
The two stepped out under the pregnant clouds and made their way taking the east route, Hailey would have argued that the route would be long but taking the West side was not a favorite idea when the clouds were looking so angry.
They route surprisingly was not crowded but before they got to the little bridge, it had started raining.
"f**k!" Nadiah cursed, the rain came a little earlier than she has anticipated.
They picked their way carefully but somehow Hailey unknowingly stepped on a wet stone and like a strike from the lightening above, she felt a surge of electricity sweep across her.
In the speed of lightening, Hailey found herself in darknes and like a grave Hailey was suffocating inside.
She kept thinking where she could be, it felt like someone had caged her to a bed.
She was just walking with her sister and all of a sudden she found herself here.
"Nadiah..!" she called lightly. but her own voice echoed back in her ears, it felt like she was in a closed space and it was freezing.
She felt her surrounding using her hand until she felt her hand rubbed against a wood and she traced it carefully, it was a door.
What could be behind the door she asked herself, it was a thought something in her was terribly against finding.
She tried to push the thought of opening the door behind her head but she realised she was just a ram at the s*******r if she didn't find away to leave where it was that she was trapped in.
The desire to survive the situation and a curiosity beyond the control of sanity drove her hand back onto the door and she gave it a light push.
"No!" she could hear her a voice scream inside her but it was too late.
