Episode 1
Carrie shivered slightly. She was dressed in a beautiful crimson gown, the color of a blood-red sky. Her long dark hair had been twisted by her father – or rather her stepfather’s maid, into an intricate complexity of knots that only served to make her fragile looks more lovely.
She was beautiful, in a vulnerable way that made males want to protect her – or to hurt her. Her stepfather had always taken pleasure in hurting her, hitting her constantly till she had permanent bruises on her soft lovely skin. And now, he had decided to sell her like a mere parcel, a common w***e to Alpha Lesley.
She shivered at the mere thought of his name. She had heard so much about him in hushed whispers. The females all swore he was the most handsome male in the whole world and that he was an expert in love making. Carrie blushed. Why was she thinking of lovemaking at a time like this? She should be trying her best to fight her step father’s plans – she could even run away!
She had also heard that Alpha Lesley was so cruel, he made the females he slept with cry, hurting them before he further hurt them through the art of love making itself. Carrie whimpered. What kind of a brute would hurt the female he slept with – maybe her step father could even be considered gentle, compared to the Alpha.
Her step father was waiting in his study at the moment. From the whispers she had heard from the servants, the Alpha himself was to arrive very soon. Carrie heard a car pull up to the driveway, and she rushed to the window to get a glimpse of her new slave master – because that was all that she was, a slave, sold for money.
Her step father had been facing minor setbacks in his business and he had lost a lot of money. His only plan to get back the money he had lost was to use her. And so, he had sold her off like a common w***e to the highest bidder, the Alpha Lesley.
Carrie watched as a male who could only be the Alpha stepped out of the car, dressed in a loose fitting white shirt, and black leather pants. His full dark hair was a bit longer than usual and ruffled at his collars in the gentle evening breeze. There was something so very magnetic about him, about his slight but powerfully built frame. Carrie felt herself drawn to him unwittingly. She pressed her nose against the cold glass, wishing there was no barrier between him and her. Her cheeks warmed at the thought of being owned by such a powerful male – what if he should decide to kiss her!
He turned his head slightly upwards then, hitting her with the darkest midnight blue eyes she had ever seen. A wave of shock ran through Carrie at the impact, and she stumbled backward, her heart pounding an unknown rhythm, and fear pulsing at her veins, yet she could not bring herself to look away from him, could not take her gaze off those eyes that seemed to bore deep holes into her, seeing all her dark secrets, all her shame.
He was by far the most handsome male she had ever seen. Something about his beauty was so acute, it was painful to watch. For some unknown reason, Carrie felt tears gather in her eyes, and she did nothing to stop them as they freely ran down her cheeks.
He didn’t belong on earth with the rest of the Werewolves. He seemed equal to the moon goddess – maybe, he had once been a lover to the moon goddess. Maybe those lips of his had once kissed the moon, touched her, held her power, and then stole her power. He seemed to possess such great power that Carrie knew instantly, that even if he had not been an Alpha, she would never be able to withstand any of his commands.
His lips curved up in a ruthless smile then, transforming him from dangerously handsome to ruggedly sexy. It was not the smile of a lover, it was the smile of a predator, the smile of one who had marked a prey and was now determined to get it.
Carrie stayed as she was, behind the curtain, hidden from the rest of the house, but exposed to the outside, as the Alpha made her way into what would soon no longer be her home, and probably into her step father’s study.
She remained as she was, her heart pounding away at her tender breast, as she hoped her step father would change his mind, or that the Alpha would decide he didn’t want to buy her again, and yet, a part of her still wanted to be owned by him. She could not explain the irrational thinking that drew her to a male who could cause her nothing but sorrow, for only a cruel make would want to buy a female in such a way.
“Carrie . . . Carrie . . . Carrie, where are you?” She heard Stacey, one of the maids calling, and she knew it was time. Trying to brace herself, but failing, Carrie stepped out from behind the curtain and walked into her step father’s study.
Jack Fisher, her step father, and a beta was sitting behind his desk. When she stepped in, his face broke into a wide smile that did nothing to hide the greed in his eyes, then the smile immediately turned into an angry frown. “You’ve been crying.” It was a statement and not a question, but Carrie nodded.
“You’ve spoiled your lovely looks with those stupid tears, if the Alpha –”
“The Alpha doesn’t mind,” Lesley interrupted, and only then did Carrie permit herself to look at him. He had been standing by the window, looking out, but he turned now to speak with her step father, while his eyes remained on her. Carrie felt herself hit with the same force that she had been hit with as while she stood staring at him from the window, only this time, it was worse. This time, she was in the same room with him, engulfed by the sheer force of his masculine power.
He walked up to stand just in front of her, and Carrie trembled as he lifted a hand, and gently, carefully traced her face with it, flicking off a lone tear from her cheek. “I don’t mind her tears one bit, but after I’m done with her, I am not sure she would have any more tears left to cry.”
He was still talking to her step father, and yet his blue eyes pinned hers, bored into her, saw into the depths of her heart, and spat at her. Carrie shivered. What kind of male was this who could touch her so gently and yet promise such cruelty with his lips?
He drew her to him and stole a kiss from her innocent lips, his powerful lips bruising her tender ones, hurting her, and yet bringing her pleasure.
“I’m going to give you, in addition to the money, some gold, and a few of my priced diamonds.” The Alpha said, finally turning to face her step father. “She is even more beautiful than I imagined.” His voice was very cold, sending shivers through Carrie. Not for the first time, she wished she had not been born beautiful.
The transaction was made much faster than she had thought it would take and then the Alpha turned to leave. “Come along Carrie,” he said coldly, and Carrie followed. She was his possession now.
