Christine Bland had news for Ross. After conducting her examination of the exhumed remains of the body interred in Anfield Cemetery, she was ready to deliver her verdict.
At a hastily convened meeting in the office of Doctor William Nugent, the forensic anthropologist and medical examiner, Ross, Izzie Drake, and Derek McLennan waited as she entered the room along with Nugent. They'd been directed to the office by the mortuary's chief administrator, Peter Foster, who also happened to be the husband of Izzie Drake. Izzie had kept her maiden name for work purposes, but out of hours, she was pleased to be known as Mrs. Foster.
