Sam Gable suggested to her colleagues that they begin their task at the priory with another interview with the Prior, Brother Gerontius. As they drove into the grounds of the priory, they observed a man sitting astride a large motorised lawnmower, busily cutting the grass. Dodds wondered who the man was and if he might be worth investigating, but he snapped back to the present when Sam referred to Brother Gerontius.
“He might not be so interested in our looking into our suspects if we begin by making him believe we need to talk to him as well,” she said.
Dodds and Devenish agreed.
