Chapter 25

"Is that so? doesn't seem like it." said Queen Jaina. "Who cares what you think?" asked Klaus.

"I think you do, Klaus, that's why you're here, that's why you've come to me." said Queen Jaina to which Klaus suddenly grabs ahold of her neck and strangles her while she tries her best to free herself over being unable to bear the pain.

"Listen to me, Jaina, if you think you can play your little mind games with me, you're dead wrong.. I'm nothing more than a monster, a beast that even demons fear.. my name itself, in the shadows, has cast down millions of lives in blood and tears, you would be wise not to involve yourself with what you can't comprehend, understand?" asked Klaus to which Queen Jaina bids in approval as Klaus eventually lets her go as he relives in breath away from Klaus for a minute or two, until Klaus goes off to speak.

"Now that's over.. let's talk business, shall we?" asked Klaus with a grin. "What business?" asked Queen Jaina. "I know you have my sister in hostage somewhere, you're probably in some grand scheme to overthrow this prince and his brother so that you may gain the support over your people, but involving me and my family in this, is what I call, a gravest mistake in your long eternal life, soon to be cut short." said Klaus until Queen Jaina interrupts.

"We did what? what are you talking about? I didn't keep Mikeala hostage! I thought you did." said Queen Jaina. "Stop playing dumb, or the next blood that comes out will be yours." said Klaus.

"No, I'm being serious, I don't know what you're talking about! we all thought you were the one who kidn*pped Mikeala to drive the support of the people towards you." said Queen Jaina.

"Support of the people? me? you're literally mad.. the day I bent my knee towards the love of the people had long passed, people, kings, queens and literally everyone across the whole damm galaxy have known me for unleashing hell, nothing else." said Klaus.

"Exactly... that's why we.. nevermind, so you don't have Mikeala, well, neither do we." said Queen Jaina.

"You expect me to believe that?" asked Klaus. "Why would I kidnap my own queen? I love her, she's been nothing but kind to us, treated us like sisters.. we would never do anything to harm her." said Queen Jaina.

"Prove it." said Klaus to which Queen Jaina removes a piece of her dress towards her neck and reveals it to Klaus.

"You're a original right? you can read the minds and intents of a vampire by a bite, well, go ahead, take one, you'll see what I am trying is the truth, I'm not lying about anything." said Queen Jaina to which Klaus waits on for a second to turn away, then enrages as he turns towards her and sprints off closely to her neck in which Klaus sinks his fangs deep within while she screams, but quietly enough as Klaus starts to read on all her thoughts and her memories starting with their meeting before Klaus entered.

"You need to do this Jaina, there is no other way, once we find out what he intends, rest will come off remarkably, we just need to play along for now, that is all." said Queen Hope.

"Alright, fine, I will do it, when can he come?" asked Queen Jaina just when the doorbell rings,

Soon, the glimpse of memory shift away to somwhere distant as Jaina's memory takes them further backward into history.

"Monstrous, isn't he?" asked a feminine voice in front of the seat within Queen Jaina within the club, after viewing Klaus from distance, sucking out the blood from his own wife, Lilith. "More like.. enjoyable, yet frightening." said Queen Jaina.

"You like him?" asked the feminine. "Who doesn't? still, he married a human, like any other vampire, there isn't much to discover." said Queen Jaina. "Sounds to me like jealously." said the feminine voice to which Queen Jaina gets enraged.

"No, I am not jealous! why would be? I barely knew him!" shouted Queen Jaina. "Okay, Jain, I was kidding.. I am sorry." said the feminine figure. "It's fine, but, you know what could be more fun? seeing them fight, watch." said Queen Jaina as she goes off to stand from her seat to approach them, but is quickly halted when gunshots started firing from the corner as everyone run for cover, including Klaus and his wife as well.

Once that was revealed, in the present, Klaus sinks even deeper, relinquishing further in her blood until another touching memory is revealed from her memory.

In midst of a violent chaos erupted against the Azirel Family in Victoria as Klaus's marriage is taking place, Jaina is standing next to Mikeala herself, crying and mourning in sorrow. "I loved her.. Lilith was mine.. he took her from me." said Queen Jaina.

"I can understand dear, I am really sorry, but I've asked her, more than once, she keeps neglecting me, tells me that Klaus is her life, no longer she will ever be needing anyone else." said Mikeala. "Why not? I loved her first.. she was mine! she even agreed to marry me, but that Klaus.." said Queen Jaina before getting interrupted by Mikeala.

"I am really sorry Jaina, I truly am, but like you, I am helpless too, I cannot go up against my brother, I know what he did to you and her, but I can't do anything, I just.." said Mikeala until Jaina interrupts.

"Yes.. you can, you can do something." said Jaina. "What?" asked Mikeala. "Erase her, erase all memories of Lilith.. she isn't mine anymore, might as well be done with it all.. fake love she had for me." said Jaina.

"I.. I can do that, but are you sure? do you really want me to.." said Mikeala before getting interrupted by Jaina. "Yes.. please.. I won't nothing more." cried Jaina as Mikeala continues to erase her from her mind while the memory shifts away.

Soon after seeing that, Klaus immediately withdraws from his bite as he backs away with tears running down on the eyes of Queen Jaina, exhausted over tremendous amount of blood drained, falls unconscious while Klaus offers back some of his own blood to heal as he lays her down quietly.

"You.. you were the one who loved her.. that's why you hate me.. " said Klaus as he goes to drop her down, but before dropping, Jaina awakens with her eyes open, looking upon Klaus. "You.. you took her from me." said Jaina. "I did.. I loved her." said Klaus as Jaina bursts into tears. "But she was mine.. you took her.." cried Jaina.

"I take what I want.. when I want, whoever I want, you know this." said Klaus remaining numb. "That's why you lost her.. that's why you keep losing, because you're taking what isn't yours." said Queen Jaina as Klaus grins, without giving a scent of empathy at all, almost like he wants her to cry for a period of time until she begins to grow tired and weak once again.

"And there she goes, off to sleep, there, there, (Jaina closes her eyes) you know something.. had I knew you and her had something special, I wouldn't have come between you two.. but some things do take quite the time before they are revealed, my sister erased your thoughts and feelings of Lilith, and I brought them back, if I leave you like this, you'll come after me, blame me for ruining your life.. therefore, until your memories are adjusted back in place, I'll be taking you somwhere safe." said Klaus as he carries her and sprints off out of the place, leaving the mess behind unchecked.

Meanwhile, Lucien, on the other hand, plays his lucky hand on poker in one of the luxurious casinos, winning one round after another until a large sum of money comes into his hand in which he finds himself excited with gaining lady luck.

"What can I say fellas? I'm lucky." said Lucien driving all the chips away to his side until he is shortly interrupted by muscular vampire from the back. "That is enough, come with us." said the vampire who tries to pull him down, but as Lucien enrages, he sprains off his hand by countering it and drops his body on the table while enjoying making him scream in pain.

"And they think, jokers like you can take me down, is it that it?" asks Lucien, laughing while other people around him start running away in fear and panic.

"Hold on, what are you all running for? I'm not done, hey! come back here." shouted Lucien while the vampire under him struggles and screams until his eyes turn glowing green flame from nowhere.

"Enjoying yourself, aren't you?" asked a husky voice from the vampire with glowing green eyes in which Lucien recognizes it immediately and takes it a deeper look towards him.

"That voice, wait, Atar? is that you?" asked Lucien until he gets blasted across the wall by a mere slap of his finger within the vampires body, to which he then walks up to him while Lucien struggles under shock of seeing him after years.

"How.. how did you find me?" asked Lucien.

"How did I find you? let me guess.. you screwed with the limbs of fate, that money you carry, contains the death of thousands.. no wonder Ahriman's gonna find you before I do." said Atar. "Ahriman knows? s**t, this is bad, this is really really bad." said Lucien.

"You're telling me that? after everything you did." asked Atar. "Hey! what did I do? all did was earn a little money, what's wrong about it? I didn't kill anyone." said Lucien.

"You didn't need to, you fool, by gambling with the powers I gave you, you have turned the balance of fate amongst many men and women, had you kept on continuing this, there would have been a civil war." said Atar.
