Stage 1
Blake’s POV
Such a pair of fascinating eyes…So enchanting and yet so cold, so distant…The thought kept replaying in my mind as I kept staring into those deep brown orbs. My body went weak when I felt those strong arms wrapped themselves around me and brought me into a paradise of warmth. He was so warm; he made me felt so secure…
“Blake…” I heard his low husky voice whispered into my ear and felt myself shivered. I felt his big warm hands cupped my cheeks and lifted my face up, facing him.
“Blake…” he kept on whispering my name as he leaned closer. He kissed my eyebrow.
“I love you…” he whispered sweetly. I felt my heart tingled in pure happiness as I rubbed my cheek against his palm affectionately.
“I love you too…” I said those precious words while staring into those eyes that always made my heart pounded more than its usual beats. I felt myself drown into those pools of monochromatic deep sea blue and golden brown orbs.
When I looked into his face, my eyes widened when I saw those bow shaped lips formed the sweetest smiled ever as he brushed his lips against mine.
“I love you so much…” he breathed in my lips.
“Me too, Harrison…”
…Harrison…?
End POV
Blake's eyes snapped opened and her face slowly reddened before…
CRASH!
“Mom! I’m going now!” Blake said as she hastily put on her shoes.
“Baby, I have—” before Melinda could fully spoke, Blake pecked her cheek and dashed out from the house.
“Sorry, mom! I’m super late! We’ll talk later!” Blake did not forget to give her mother a flying kiss and ran to her school which took 15 minutes to reach by walking.
Blake looked at her wristwatch and cussed under her breath. She was super late and blamed the dream this morning. It was so f*****g troublesome to dream about that. Blake stopped running as she reached the school, catching her breath but then another curse slipped out from her mouth when she saw the prefects were already taking down names.
She could not bear five hours of detention; she could do something more meaningful within the five hours. Blake bit her bottom lip as she was thinking a way of getting into the school. Just then, she saw the cemented wall. The wall was not that tall and she was not that short either. Perhaps she should climb over the wall. She smirked. Bingo!
Blake looked around and fixed her glasses while fixing her skirt. When she was sure no one would saw, she leapt upward, landing on the top of the wall.
“Hey!” suddenly she heard a scream, causing her to lose her balance and fell downward, her eyes instantly closed. She groaned as she sat up and rubbed her head.
“Ouch, it hurts,” she opened her eyes and then they widened, her body went frozen.
What the heck?!
“Urgh…” she heard a groan before a pair of familiar monochromatic orbs was staring back at her.
“Hmm?” they both stared into each other’s eyes before Blake stood up and red shade began tainting her flawless cheeks.
“Uhh…I’m sorry…” Blake bowed at the guy who was now sitting on the grass, eyeing her expressionlessly.
Blake bowed lastly and walked away. Her face was as red as tomato, ‘What the hell…Did I just fall down on top of Harrison Lee?!’
Blake yawned as she walked amongst the students that were walking toward the canteen to have their lunch, ‘Don’t feel like having lunch today…’ she yawned once again.
“Blake, wait up!” Blake heard the familiar voice and looked over her shoulder backward gloomily.
“Yikes! What the hell Blake, you look terrible!”
“Shut up, Diane. Who’s in fault for my current state?” Blake glared at Diane. Diane grinned innocently.
“Oh come on, Blake…It wasn’t that bad,” Diane threw her arm over Blake’s shoulders.
“Wasn’t that bad you said? Diane Huxley, who the hell called people at two in the morning and talked about how hot her boyfriend was?!” Diane laughed.
“Taylor is so f*****g hot and—” Diane's voice was muffled as Blake covered her noisy mouth with her palm.
“Don’t you dare start it,” she hissed. Diane took Blake’s hand off her mouth.
“Alright, alright, I’m sorry for causing your current state so as an apology, let me treat you lunch,” Blake raised an eyebrow.
“Seriously? You’re going to treat me? You, the stingy woman?” Diane pouted as she slapped Blake’s arm playfully.
“Yes, I’m serious!” Blake grinned.
“Fine, I want the most expensive lunch!” Diane rolled her eyes as they walked to the canteen.
“Yes, yes…” as they reached the canteen, Blake walked straightly to the food counter and began choosing her lunch. They argued for a moment since Blake chose way too much food. Lastly, after so much argument, Diane paid for all the food that Blake chose.
They took the trays that were full with food and turned around. Diane did not see the person behind her and accidently crashed onto him, causing the food to spill on the person’s white school uniform. Blake and Diane widened their eyes at the accident and looked up, only to have their eyes widened even more when they saw the pair of cold eyes was looking down at them coldly and dangerously.
“Oh my, I’m so sorry, Harrison!” Diane apologized.
“Sorry, sorry you say?! Do you know that his shirt was made of expensive material?!” the girl who was clinging onto Harrison snarled.
“I didn’t mean to. I’m so sorry,” Diane kept on apologizing.
“Yeah right, you didn’t mean to or you do it on purpose? Since Harrison is so popular that you want to catch his attention. You’re such a slut,” Blake clutched her fists. No one could call her best friend a slut!
“A slut?” Blake’s anger suppressed voice caught the girl and Diane's attentions, Harrison's eyes were also on Blake now.
Blake smirked as she went to stand in front of Diane, “Aren’t you considered as a slut also? Since you’re clinging onto him like a leech,” the girl widened her eyes and her face reddened in anger.
“You, how dare you call me a slut, you four eyes weirdo!” Blake chuckled in sarcasm. The girl’s loud voice caught the students’ attentions that were in the canteen.
“So I’m a weirdo now? Let me ask you, why would you the one who’s getting so work up? He didn’t spill his food on you,” Blake hissed.
Harrison did not say anything. What a cold prince. Blake thought.
“Oh so now you’re blaming me? Harrison didn’t say much so don’t think that he had forgiven you, your asshole!”
Blake laughed mockingly, “Oh please, we’re better than you, b***h. At least we know how to apologize not like you,” Blake took out some money from her pocket and shoved it into Harrison’s hand.
“These will do for dry-cleaning. Let’s go, Diane. I don’t feel hungry anymore,” Blake grabbed Diane’s wrist and pulled her out from the place. Harrison's eyes followed Blake until her figure disappeared from the canteen.
“Harrison, she said I was a b***h,” the girl annoyingly whined. Harrison gripped on the money and yanked his arm off the girl’s hold.
“Shut up, you’re annoying,” Harrison looked down at her with his cold eyes and black aura radiated out from him. The girl went frozen as Harrison walked out from the canteen.
Who did not know Harrison Lee? The mix American-Korean became a top model just a few weeks after his debut. He had been so popular since then. Girls lusted after him for his unique face plus those rare monochromatic eyes and so were guys but none of them caught Harrison’s attention and that time, everything changed the moment he saw the fiery eyes of Blake. That girl was different. He knew it and he could feel it.
Blake was very mad at the moment. Diane had been trying to convince her and she told Diane she was okay when in fact, she was not. Girls nowadays had becoming so annoying and slutty. It was as if they lost their dignity just for a guy. She decided to skip her next class since she needed some times to calm down and for that, she had grabbed her precious camera earlier before the class started.
It was her only cure to her anger and mixed feelings. Whenever she felt angry or sad, she would walk around, photographing the sceneries and after that she would be all okay again. It always worked. Blake went to the rooftop where no one was there. Blake stood by the fence and began taking pictures randomly.
RING!
Blake fished out her phone and saw the name flashed on the screen, only to have her grinning from ear to ear.
“Mommy,” she whined as soon as she picked up the call.
“Hey baby…” Blake felt at ease when she heard her mother’s gentle voice.
“Mom, I miss you…” she pouted.
Melinda chuckled on the other line, “I miss you more, baby and even more when we can’t meet for awhile,” Blake frowned.
“What do you mean, mom?”
“I wanted to tell you about it this morning but you were in rush. I will be on a business trip until the summer break ends, baby,” Blake was very disappointed at the news.
“We can’t spend the summer together this time?” Blake’s disappointment was clearly shown through her voice. Melinda felt guilty.
“I’m sorry, sweetheart. You’re going to stay with your Aunt Scarlett. I’m so sorry, baby,” Blake pouted.
“Alright then but make sure you bring back some souvenirs, mom!” Melinda chuckled at Blake’s sulky voice.
“Okay, I will. Love you, baby,” a smooch sound was heard from the other line. Blake grinned.
“Love you too, mom!” Blake gave a loud smooch before they hung up. Blake sighed. Well, it was not that bad though living with her aunt for the summer.
Blake was humming softly as she was on her way to her aunt’s condominium. Suddenly, Blake noticed the yellow Lamborghini parked by the side road. Her mouth shaped an ‘O’, ‘The owner must be very rich,’ Blake thought as she walked into the condominium building.
As she stopped in front of a door, she took out the spare key that her mother gave her for her aunt’s condominium. Scarlett’s place was like her own place. She often went there to see her aunt since they shared the same hobby which was photographing and it was a good opportunity for her to learn more about photographing since her aunt was a photographer in a modeling agency.
“Aunt Scarlett, I’m here,” Blake sang as she closed the door but soon, she froze, the duffle bag had been slung on her shoulder, slipped down and she dropped her jaws at the sight in front of her.
There, her aunt was lying on the marble floor with a man on top of her and worst, Scarlett’s shirt was rose up until her chest, revealing the porcelain skin.
“What is this?!”
“I’m sorry for what you’ve seen earlier, Blake,” Scarlett settled the glass of orange juice on the glassed table.
“No worries, dear aunt. I’m just surprised, that’s all,” Blake took the glass and sipped the sweet sour liquid.
“I told you to stop it, Eric,” Scarlett wrapped her arms around her chest and glared at Eric. Eric who was sitting beside Scarlett on the couch just rubbed his head where Scarlett had smacked earlier.
“Your skin is just too tempting,” Scarlett just rolled her eyes. Blake chuckled. She knew this person called Eric. He was also a top model alongside Harrison. He looked so young and handsome despite to his age which was late thirties.
“There’s still an innocent soul here, Eric. Don’t spoil her innocence,” Scarlett spoke calmly but strictly. Eric pouted. Blake was surprised when she saw this man earlier. He perhaps looked manly and tough but in fact, he was very affectionate and…childish?
Blake laughed, “Aunt Scarlett, really, I’m eighteen already. I can bear it,” Scarlett smiled apologetically at Blake.
“Anyway Blake, I have some work to do so can you manage yourself?” Scarlett asked worriedly. Blake smiled.
“Don’t worry, aunt and besides, I’m going out later,” Blake grinned meaningfully and Scarlett just understood with the smile.
“Alright then, I’m leaving. Eric, let’s go,” Scarlett stood up and Eric followed suit. Eric winked at Blake before they left. Blake only could chuckle at the action. Soon, Blake too left the condominium, not forgetting to grab her camera.
Blake took a stroll around the area. The place was full with accommodation. Her aunt chose a very good area to live in. Blake was in a good mood as she walked around the area. Just then, her eyes caught the big poster hung on top of a clothes shop.
“Such cold eyes…So distant and yet so beautiful…” Blake muttered under her breath as she stared at the poster.
“Harrison Lee…What a pair of fascinating eyes you have…” Blake looked at Harrison’s poster lastly before she darted her eyes away. The picture was not alive but those eyes…They looked so alive.
Blake took pictures of the things she found interesting and artificial enough for her. She was taking a picture when suddenly she heard a yell. She looked around and the surrounding was normal though. The yell she heard earlier was like an argument yell. Blake focused on the sound and soon she found where the voice came from.
She followed the arguing voice and it led her to the backstreets. It was so dark but being a brave girl she was, she just broke into the darkness. She was getting closer to the voice since it was getting clearer and clearer.
Her eyes widened when she saw a man in suit was trapped against the wall with two men were pointing the knives to him.
“Give us everything you got!”
“I’ve nothing. They are all with my secretary,” the man in suit surprisingly talked in composure despite to the dangerous situation he was in.
“Don’t lie to us!” Blake could see the men pressed the tip of the knives deeper into the skin of the man and a punch landed on his face. She gritted her teeth.
“Hey! Two against one? That’s unfair!” Blake approached them. The men looked at Blake and smirked as they got another victim.
“Oh well, young lady, aren’t you being brave?” one of the men took the victim and put the knife on his neck.
“You guys are terrible! But…that didn’t stop me,” Blake sneered. She ran to the men and as they attacked her with the knives, she swiftly dodged them and kicked one of them on the stomach and the other one a punch on the face. As both of them fell on their knees, Blake stepped on their backs, causing them to lay flat on the ground.
“Get out of here before I finished both of you,” Blake hissed dangerously. Despite being a woman, Blake was strong since she had been taking martial arts in her junior high. She was not easily beaten. The men hastily ran away, leaving Blake with the man earlier. Blake breathed out and immediately went to the man.
“Are you okay, sir?” the man smiled reassuringly.
“I’m fine…” Blake huffed.
“No you’re not. You’re bleeding. Come, let’s go to the nearby clinic,” Blake forced the man to come with her. The man could not do anything but to follow her.
Blake brought the man to a clinic to treat his injury. It did not take for a long time before the man came out, his bruises were all treated.
“I’ve paid for the clinic fee. Where’s your home? I can send you if you want,” Blake offered. The man smiled handsomely.
“No need. I’ve called my secretary to pick me. Anyway, thank you for helping me…” the sentences left hung and Blake understood what it was meant.
“I’m Blake McKay…” Blake returned the smile. The man extended his hand and Blake gladly shook his hand. The man caught the bloody knuckles and thought the fight earlier had caused it.
“You’re injured too, please have it treated,” Blake blinked and then realized it when she saw the bloody knuckles.
“No, I’m fine…It doesn’t hurt,” Blake waved it off.
“Please…” Blake gave in as the man was closed to beg her to be treated.
“Okay then…”
“If you don’t mind…” the man spoke while eyeing Blake’s camera bag. Blake gave the camera bag to the man and went into the doctor room to have her injury treated.
As Blake was done treated her injury, she went out and saw the man was holding her camera. She blinked and approached the man.
“Sir?” the man was surprised and immediately apologized for looking through Blake’s pictures. Blake just waved it off since her pictures were randomly taken.
“Say, Ms. McKay, did you take all of these pictures?” the man suddenly asked. Blake just nodded.
“I see…Then Ms. McKay, are you interested in being a photographer?” Blake blinked.
“If I have the chance, I want to…Why?”
The man smiled, “That’s what I want to know. Alright then, Ms. McKay, my secretary is here already,” the man handed Blake her camera back.
“And please…” the man gave Blake a business card, “Come to this place tomorrow. I’ll be waiting for you,” the man flashed his last charming smile before he left. Blake was dumbfounded. What the hell?
She looked at the business card and read the words written on it, “Raymond Dwaine , CEO of Moonlight Modeling Agency?”
