“H-Harrison?!” Blake was in a state of disbelief. There, in front of her, stood the coldest person in her school and worst he was her aunt's neighbor! She was going to meet him more often from now on.
“Are you some kind of a stalker?” the usual cold and quiet guy suddenly spoke made the already shocked Blake, got more astonished.
“Y-You…” Blake was unable to form a full sentence due to her shock.
Harrison looked at Blake with his usual coldness and stepped out from the doorstep, only to close and lock the door. Harrison was dressed in a black dress shirt and dark jeans with a light brown long coat, looking like he was going out.
Harrison looked down at the still speechless Blake. Without saying a word, he reached out his hand toward Blake. Blake blinked and looked at the hand blankly.
“Are you going to sit there forever?” Came the question with a hint of sarcasm from the tall guy. This unexpected attitude of the cold prince made Blake more in the state of disbelief but she took the hand nevertheless and let Harrison to pull her up.
“You look like you’re seeing a ghost,” Harrison said expressionlessly. Blake narrowed her eyes, ‘Of course I am! A Harrison Lee ghost!’ Blake pouted lightly. A slight gasp came out from her mouth when she caught the icy cold eyes were staring at her. The piercing gaze was scary, causing the petite female to fidget in discomfort. She usually was daring and would just snapped if someone looked at her that way but Harrison Lee really made her powerless.
“You live here?” Blake just nodded, she did not dare to look at Harrison.
“I-I just live here for a temporary time. The owner of the condominium is my aunt,” Harrison looked surprised but the expression was quickly masked away and did not say anything.
“Y-You live here too?” Harrison shrugged as he walked away.
“Don’t ask me the obvious question,” he said before he completely gone. Blake heaved out a breath.
“Geez that guy, why he is so cold?” Blake scolded Harrison under her breath and touched her forehead, the spot where she was hardly hit earlier.
“Hurts…” she pouted.
The next morning, Blake went to Raymond’s company like she was being told to. Her forehead was bruised because of last night accident and had put on a plaster. Luckily her fringe was long enough to cover the plaster and if her aunt saw it, she would be in a dead trouble. Blake sighed and slipped her hands into the pockets of her jacket as she walked into the company.
She did not forget to glance at the front desk and saw Jessica was busy flirting with a client, her work was all forgotten. Blake shook her head. Girls…
Blake went straight to Raymond’s private office and as soon as she arrived, she saw no one was in the personal used floor except for a girl who was focusing her eyes on the computer screen. Blake walked toward her.
“Excuse me,” the girl looked up and her eyes caught the girl in glasses was looking at her with a smile. She had to admit this girl gave a vibe of rough boyish type of girl but her charm was different. Her appeal was more toward sweet and gentle type of girl but sadly, the charm was hidden behind those thick black rimmed glasses.
“Miss?” Blake called out once more when she saw the girl was staring at her blankly. The girl snapped out from her imagination world and cleared her throat.
“Yes, what can I help you?” Blake flashed her sweet smile.
“Mr. Raymond told me to see him this morning,” the girl seemed to know about it and returned the smile.
“You’re Ms. Blake McKay?” Blake nodded.
“Please have a seat, Mr. President hasn’t arrived yet. He’ll be here in any moment,” the girl who she assumed as the secretary informed. Blake nodded once again and took a seat on the couch that was prepared for the waiting.
After some times of waiting, Blake could hear some talking voices coming from a far and she knew Raymond had arrived. As soon as he was getting closer to his private office room, Raymond caught the figure sitting on the couch.
“Ms. Blake, I’m sorry to make you wait,” he apologized as he walked toward Blake. Blake waved it off.
“No worries,” Blake smiled lightly.
“Ah, anyway this is—” before Raymond could utter the next word, his companion who came along with him this morning cut him.
“Blake?” Blake blinked.
“Eric?” Eric seemed surprised to see Blake in the agency moreover in Raymond’s private office which only certain people were allowed to come in there.
“Do you know Ms. Blake, Eric?” Raymond was also surprised that his cousin knew the teenage girl.
“She’s Scarlett’s niece,” Raymond was taken aback by the new information.
“She’s Scarlett’s niece?” Raymond asked in pure astonishment. Eric nodded.
“And you, how can you know her?” Eric asked in puzzle.
“She was the one who had saved me from those robbers,” Eric widened his eyes.
“Her?!” Eric looked at Blake in disbelief. How could this small fragile looking girl manage to beat those bulky robbers?
Blake was standing there in confusion, “Err, Eric?” Eric turned to look at Blake and saw the confused face of Blake’s.
“Oh, sorry for the confusion Blake, I’m Ray’s cousin and I work here. Did Scarlett know you’re working as a part-timer photographer here?” Eric asked and Blake assumed Raymond must have been told him.
“No, I didn’t have the chance to tell her yet,” Eric’s lips pursed out the shape of O.
“Oh, right, she had been staying at my place last night,” he grinned as he ruffled his own hair. Blake just chuckled.
Raymond smiled seeing the interaction, “Well I hope you guys can be good workmates as time goes by and here Ms. Blake,” Raymond gave Blake an ID card.
“This shows that you’re one of our employees,” Blake accepted the ID card and smiled widely.
“Eric, can you show her around? I’ve to attend a meeting at eight,” Eric gave Raymond a thumb up.
“Blake, come with me. Let’s go see your aunt first. She’ll be in a great surprise,” Blake chuckled as she walked with Eric, side by side, out from the private office. Eric led Blake to a room which Blake believed was one of the sets for the photo shoot due to its setting.
“Your aunt is getting ready for a photo shoot for the morning session,” Eric informed. Blake spotted her aunt sitting on a high chair, busy setting her camera.
“Hey,” Eric elbowed Blake causing Blake to look at him. He grinned cheekily, “Want to give your aunt a surprise?” Blake laughed. Man, this guy was quite naughty.
Blake nodded at Eric. Eric grinned and signed them to tiptoe forward. As they were closed enough to Scarlett, Eric rose up his hand and counted his fingers into three before Blake covered her aunt’s eyes.
“Eh?” Scarlett went stilled when her sight was covered out of sudden.
“Eric?” Eric grinned at Blake and nodded. Blake giggled silently before she uncovered Scarlett’s eyes and booed her. Scarlett gasped in surprise when Blake’s face suddenly popped out in front of her.
“Blake?! What are you doing here?” Scarlett asked in surprise. Blake made a peace sign.
“I work here starting from today,” Blake grinned.
Scarlett was clearly astonished by the new information, “What do you mean?”
“Remembered about how did I get my hand bandaged?” Scarlett nodded as she recalled the day when Blake came back home with a bandaged hand.
“It turned out it was President Raymond whom I had saved from being robbed. He gave me some payments to repay me but I declined it so instead he offered me to be a part-timer photographer here,” Blake winked at her aunt.
“Such a coincidence but it turned out to be good for you though,” Blake nodded.
“Yup!” Scarlett chuckled and pinched Blake’s nose, causing Blake to giggle cutely.
“Blake, let’s go,” Eric suddenly interrupted. Scarlett and Blake turned to look at Eric who was already waiting for Blake.
“Coming!” Blake went out from the set. Eric went to Scarlett and leaned closer against Scarlett’s backside, caressing her hips gently.
“Do your hips still hurt?” Scarlett pushed Eric away.
“It’s getting better. Don’t worry about me,” Scarlett said calmly.
“Really?” Scarlett saw the worry face of Eric’s. Scarlett smiled and patted Eric’s head.
“Really, now go, Blake is waiting,” Eric smiled cheerfully before he walked out from the set to get Blake. As Eric left, Scarlett’s smile slowly faded away and her expression looked troubled but why?
“This is the set where they used for advertisements and currently they’re doing a photo shoot for cosmetic products,” Eric explained. Blake nodded in understanding as her eyes wandered around the set. The setting was dark and the background, they used gloomy colours. Blake knew with the setting, the photo shoot required charismatic and cool look.
Eric brought Blake to see the photographer in charge to have some brief of introductions since they were probably going to work with each other in the future. They were talking when suddenly a voice interrupted.
“Aaron, do I look good in these outfits?” the photographer, Eric and Blake turned to look at where the source of voice came from.
Blake widened her eyes when she saw the owner of the voice. It was the man who had helped her the other day! The one who was speaking earlier seemed to realize Blake’s presence and smiled widely as he waved at her.
“Hey puppy faced, I told you we’ll meet again,” Blake blinked and pointed at herself.
“Puppy faced?” Eric high-fived with the guy who was dressed in suit that was made of silk as Blake could see the texture of the clothes.
“I should expect that you’ll be chosen for this project, Max,” the guy named Max chuckled softly.
“You know they can’t kick me aside,” Max joked. Eric laughed.
“By the way, Max, I want to introduce you. This is Blake McKay, she’ll be working as a part-timer photographer here,” Max looked at Blake and extended his hand. Blake shook hand with Max.
“So your name is Blake? I’m Max. I’m one of the models here and not to forget a top model too,” Max winked at Blake. Blake just laughed awkwardly. This guy was kind of proud and full of himself too.
“Err, Max?” Blake looked at their hands. Max seemed like he did not want to let his hand go. Max chuckled.
“Sorry, it’s kind of nice to hold your hand, it’s soft,” Blake was dumbfounded. This guy was a real flirt. Eric just shook his head. He knew Max too much, his junior in modeling world and also a brother to him who was a womanizer and loved to flirt around.
“Wait, Harrison, I’m not done with your make up!” a voice interrupted, catching the staffs’ attention including Blake.
Blake dropped opened her jaws and her eyes widened in bewilderment; a usual reaction whenever she saw the coldest human being she had ever met…Harrison Lee.
“Ah, that’s Harrison Lee but don’t ever call him Harrison. He disliked it, called him Harris, the most rebelling, cold and hard to control model but the hope of the agency,” the photographer suddenly said to Blake.
Blake had to agree with the photographer’s words when she saw Harrison just carelessly shrugged off the stylist and ignored her as she tried to put on the make-up on his face. Blake noticed Max was looking at Harrison with this serious face and he was clutching his fists. Blake blinked.
“Yo, Harris!” Eric informally greeted Harrison. Harrison stopped walking and turned to look at Eric. Blake could see the frown on the handsome face and the cold heterochromia eyes which were glazing in the dim lights of the space made him looked scarier and gloomier.
“What?” he replied coldly.
“Come here for a moment,” Eric motioned Harrison to come to them.
“Why should I?” Eric chuckled.
“Cut your cold attitude and just come here,” Harrison gritted his teeth and he walked to Eric.
“What?” he sounded annoyed.
“I want to introduce someone to you. Blake, this is Harrison Lee and—” before Eric could complete his words, Harrison cut him.
“You again? What are you doing here? Are you some kind of a pervert or what?” he said to Blake. Blake puffed her cheeks.
“I’m not—”
“Why? Can’t she be here?” this time, Max interrupted as he stood in front of Blake. Both of them were gazing at each other heatedly. Looked like a fight was going to happen, if they did not be stopped, they would destroy the set but Eric and the photographer looked relaxed though. Was it always happened for them to look so relaxed?
"She’s a stranger and a stranger couldn’t be around the agency,” Harrison said with his usual cold tone.
“She’s a part-timer photographer here so she had the permission to be here,” Blake could see Harrison’s pupil expanded. Looked like, Harrison was surprised by the new information.
“But she wasn’t involved with the photo shoot so she shouldn’t be here at the moment,” the atmosphere was getting hotter.
“Okay guys, enough. Let’s start the photo shoot,” the photographer said. Harrison looked at Max callously before he walked away.
Max gritted his teeth in annoyance and looked at Blake. He forced a smile, “I got to go now, see you again, puppy faced,” Max said and left to get ready for the photo shoot.
Eric suddenly chuckled, “You must be very confused about what’s happening between them,” Blake silently agreed.
“They both were rivals. What had happened earlier had always happened whenever they met but they fit each other for the photo shoot,” Eric explained and little by little, Blake began to understand the whole situation.
“And for your first task, there’s another photo shoot being held in another room. Let’s go,” Blake nodded as she followed Eric out from the set. She did not forget to steal a last glance at the cold man who was posing in front of the camera.
This cold prince, she wanted to know him more. Blake left with the thought, not realizing that a pair of heterochromia orbs were following her petite figure.
