Convincing Her

Aric POV-      "What happened," she asked me stopping in her tracks, I could feel her need to clean up.     "There was a disagreement, please come with me Abby," I whispered ignoring the twins and their disrespectful mother.     She nodded reluctantly and followed me out the door. I could feel the daggers aimed at Abby as we walked out side. I opened the car door to my green Bugatti, I heard the slight moan when she sat in my plush leather seats. I got in and turned on the car, making sure her seat heat is on knowing full well she was probably sore. I noticed she relaxed almost immediately and it made me smile.     "Abigail Barnabee, I want you to know that you will always be safe with me okay," I said softly, forcing myself not to touch her.     "Thank you, Sir Hamilton, I wish there was some way I could repay you," she whispered back to me, I looked over to see her raven hair covering her dark blue eyes.     "Please call me Aric," I smiled as she jumped at the sudden change in my tone.     "A-Aric," she stumbled over my name, a deep blush covering her face, her heart rate picking up.     I silently chuckled to myself, she was feeling the pull to me and it made me happy to see. We drove for another hour and a half to my home, it was silent but comfortably so. I was waiting for her to say something when she tensed up beside me. I looked at her quickly, seeing a frightened look in her eyes.     "What's wrong Abigail," I asked cautiously.     "I-I've only known you for a short amount of time, and somehow you were able to convince me to leave the only home I've ever known," she whispered sliding a little further away from me.     I knew this was going to happen, she was feeling the attraction I was. She was raised fully human so had no idea that she was feeling the mate pull. She didn't know how to react to the overly horny feeling she got from being around me.      "Abby, I want to tell you something, but you have to trust me ok," I said very carefully, pulling into my drive way, stopping a few hundred feet away so I could keep her full attention.     She nodded at me, her whole body shaking as she clasped her hands together tightly. I smiled gently at her.     "I have known you your entire life, I've been watching over you, I know everything Lacey, Lola and Laya did to you," I watched as her nails dug into her flesh, I smelled the tinge of blood and knew she cut herself pretty bad.     "How," her voice tinged with pain and sadness. Her eyes stared at the empty road ahead of us.     "My job is to protect you, maybe even get close to you, but right now I'm here to take you away from all the bad and show you how much good you deserve," I touched her hands gently, her eyes shot to me in a panic.      Her fingers slowly let go of her arm's as she calmed down. Her blue eyes piercing into mine as a question formed in her mind. Her pain radiating from her body, her physical injury as well as her mental.     "Why did you wait so long to save me," she whispered while she gently took my hand.      I watched her face as pain from the damage on her wrists registered. Slowly I rubbed her wrists and soothed the pain away. I realized how small she is compared to me, my one hand ingulfs both of hers easily. I could tell she was about five foot two, while I'm six foot two.     "Abby, I didn't wait this long on purpose, there was a lot to deal with and take care of before I could get you. I also had to wait till you were at least seventeen," I almost choked on my words when I saw the anger flash in her eyes.     "I'm almost twenty-one Aric, waiting ten years to be saved from that hell is a long tome especially since I was supposed to be saved three years ago," she hissed angrily, but didn't move her hands from mine.     "I'm so sorry Abby, I wish I could have saved you sooner, please forgive me," I pleaded her for forgiveness, my heart wrenching at the thought that she was mad at me.     She nodded her head at me and looked towards the road. I smiled gently at her and started driving up the road. I rubbed the back of her hand with my thumb, as I slowed down in front of my home I heard her gasp. I released her hand so I could park. It's a two story house, and the hour and a half drive wasn't bad, Abigail's reaction making it even better. I watched her shake like a leaf in her seat as I walked around to open her door for her. I gave her my hand to help her out. She grabbed my hand quickly and immediately her shaking stopped and she had a big smile on her face. I watched her eyes search the property. Climbing rose bushes were all along the walk way going up the stair case. I guided her to the front door, gently opening it for her view.     "Welcome home Abby. To be completely honest with you, this house was part of why it took me so long to come get you. I wanted some where safe for you to stay." I smiled rubbing her hand gently waiting for her reaction to the inside of the house.
