I slammed out of my dad's office. My uncle had gone too far this time. He has been pushing me to choose a mate, and has now got the elders on his side.
They have given me a year to find my mate, or they will choose one for me on my twenty-fifth birthday. If I don't accept, then I will forfeit the throne. My father can not go against the elders, even the king has to follow the rules. He is just as angry as I am though.
I would love nothing more than to swim into the sunset and go looking for my other half, but I can't right now.
