Chapter 18

I walk inside the pack house and see my mom and Josh's mom sitting on the couch crying .. What's wrong?  I ask. 

Mom quickly jumps up and hugs me.... then she says "We were all asleep when we heard a loud howl, dad jumped up and ran outside our room. We saw Josh tackling two vampires alone by himself. None of us new what was happening, your dad quickly shifted mid air while attacking one of the vampires. Josh's dad and a few other pack members all jumped at them at the same time. As we thought it was over a group of 8 rogues and 8 vampires entered. The weird thing was we could not smell them. We were all fighting them off when Stella walked in with the leader of the rogues by her side. We froze for a moment when we realised that she was the traitor." and then she started crying even more.

Mom I called ... tell me what happened where is dad and Josh. This time when mom speak I felt like all the air was sucked out of me. She said "Dad and Josh's dad are in the pack hospital as they were badly injured along with a few other pack members. The rogue leader was not an ordinary rogue ... he... he was half witch ... which is why he could mask everyone's scent. He put a spell on Josh and ..." And What?? I commanded in my Alpha tone ... I have never used my Alpha tone on anyone but here I was loosing my mind... all I could see was red... "Where is my mate?" I barked. Everyone in the pack house could feel angry flowing from me. The aura I was letting out made everyone whimper and go down on their knees. ... I looked at my mom and she gasped my eyes were pitch black like it was a dark empty space. 

Mom spoke in a calm tone trying to calm me down which unfortunately did not work. "They took him with them ... we could not do anything to stop them and save your mate. Its like we were frozen in our spot. We just could not move. Josh fought them but the spell was too strong for him" she cried. I felt like a monster had taken over me. I wanted to rip each and everyone's head. How could they not protect their Alpha.

At the same time one of the warriors entered throwing 5 five rogues at my feet. When they looked at me they shrunk in fear and started shaking. But that only made me more angry. 

Where have they taken my mate? I asked them ... answer me... I said in a menacingly dangerous tone.

One of the rogues spoke out of fear "please please let us go.. we were under a spell ... We were told to capture the Luna of the pack and bring him to the vampire king." Why?"  my mom spoke ... "Why do they want him?". "We don't know honestly but what we do know is... there is a mating ceremony that will happen in two days and the Vampire King will mate with the Luna of this pack." That was all I could take I ripped each of their heads in a single strike.
