chapter 4

There was something definitely odd about going dress shopping with your crush's fiancée and having her choose out dresses for you to wear for their wedding. It definitely was not odd that she did drag Tiff with her who was taking a drag out of a flask she hid in her purse. She passed it over to Lia who gladly took a sip and felt the Vodka burn her throat and the essence permeate to her nose. She choked slightly and passed it off to her friend. Along with the bunch was the bride of course, her father's too young girlfriend, and the rest of the bridesmaids. In total for the party was 5 of them not including the bride herself. Lia had to wonder if the girls were her friends at all because of the awkwardness between all of them. It was almost like everything was being dragged out, and no one really said anything until the bride asked for their opinion. So far according to Felicity, the color was a mint green so the bridesmaids were to wear that color and she specifically wanted them to wear long empire type dresses, strapless, and chiffon to be exact. Lia didn't care much other than the fact that she was almost paying two hundred dollars for a dress she was most likely wearing once. That made her wonder how much was the bride's dress and whether or not she was most likely spending a lot on it. Lia found herself sitting in the chaise and eating whatever crappy jordan almond that was complimentary cause she hoped that the shot she just took about half an hour ago was not making her buzzed. The other girls were in the dressing rooms trying out more outfits when Lia already had hers waiting at the register and something about alterations. She turned her head awkwardly and cursed inwardly when she realized Felicity was sitting next to her. "So Ben told me that you guys are childhood friends." She said to her and Lia has to breathe mentally so that she didn't go and make her best friend's fiancee feel awkward. "Yeah, ever since they moved into the neighborhood. So how did you two meet?" She asked realizing she didn't know much about her soon to be nemesis, or was she one already? Felicity fixed her all too elegant mid-thigh dress. "Well of course, you know college. We had a class together went on a few dates and then he realized that we rather be together always than apart." Lia mentally gagged. There was definitely something off, she only heard of Felicity briefly. Nothing to garner any real ideas about her. What sucked the most was that Ben was her best friend, minus that part where she was in love with him. She felt that it was almost like a slap in the face when he couldn't even tell her who he was in love with, even if they sort of lost contact when they became so immersed in the college life. "Sounds like Ben." She replied to her and really that was how Ben was. When he had an idea, he went for it. "I'm glad that he found someone to love him as much as loved them." Lia said almost bitterly feeling that regret when she never got to tell him how she felt. She could believe what she didn't say to him the night of their party, she truly did regret. It hurt in a way. "Well I really thank you for letting me be a part of your guy's wedding. It means a lot to me." She could say in all honesty. She couldn't have an opinion of Felicity when she didn't really know her all to well, but she must be a great person for Ben to want to be with her. Her friend never did have low standards, unlike her. "Of course, Ben really does love you in his own way. He talked about his childhood friend so often, I could see how anyone could easily be jealous. And you're really pretty too." Lia thanked her and tried not to feel insulted but in reality, she was complimented, it just happened to have sounded a little mean. "I look forward to the wedding and really, if you need anything at all...let me know." She told Felicity who smiled her proper smile. That night, they were holding an all girls bridal shower for the soon to be bride. It was really nice Lia had to admit, but then again her father seemed to have money apparently. And she was the only daughter Lia found out so, it was nice. This time the shower was hosted by 'Stevia Baby' whom Tiff dubbed as Felicity's stepmother. They joked that everything on the young mother was fake so she couldn't even be called real, so they settled with the alternative. The event was being held in the Kellar's backyard and the pool was lit. A lot of females were present and she was surprised to see that the only man there was the one manning the bar her parents...and Mr. Kellar. But it was the bar keep who had her attention because he looked a lot like Jonny. Moving up closer, she realized it was him. "So they got you into manning the bar huh?" She asked him. He smiled his charming smile to her, and she had to admit that maybe with few more drinks of alcohol, she could find him handsome. He was wearing a white t-shirt with dark jeans and black ankle boots. Around his wrist was a black canvas watch he had a towel hanging from the back of his pocket. "Yeah, I mean I do make a mean Mimosa or Margarita, pick your poison." He offered to her. She took a seat on the stool and thought about it, "Do you have enough supplies there to make me a s*x on the Beach?" Jonny looked at his limited supply and winked at her, "Gotcha Babe." He started to make her drink and he even tried mediocre moves that professional bartenders can do. "It's not what you asked for cause we're limited. But I made you a Shirley Temple and just threw in a few shots of alcohol for you." He gave her in a pint glass. It was cute she had to admit and when taking a sip, it wasn't half bad. "Thanks." When he finished another drink for another guest, he wiped his hands and looked at her. "So, does this bum you out?" He asked her and she had to sip all of her drink before answering him. "What do you mean?" "Being here, I mean you're still in love with Ben right?" He asked. She shrugged her shoulders. "What is it to you?" She asked, wondering if he was going to tease her or pick a fight like he always did. "Just asking, I mean I know how you feel." He wasn't smiling or teasing and Lia had to wonder who he was referring to. "Jonny Kellar, don't tell me someone broke your heart?" She laughed at him wondering if he was joking. He didn't laugh but he did give her another drink. "Yeah, I guess you can say." "Tell me about it." She asked him. He wiped a glass clean and put it on the drying rack that they had on the makeshift bar. "Not in your life brat." He told her and she saw it in his face that he wasn't going to explain anymore. On that note, Tiff came over. Grabbed a few shots, took a few shots and asked her to play one of the tacky games that the party was having. "We should introduce them to Beer Pong, or maybe whoever doesn't make it into the cup...should get a blowjob shot." Tiff offered and Lia believed it wasn't that bad of an idea but she may deflower these very uptight party goers with their slutty college ways. It was about two hours later when the party was dying down, it was getting later into the night, being ten in the evening that it was, and she had her feet in the pool. Ben showed up and he was with his Fiancee and they seemed to be having fun. "Here." There was a cool drink on her temple and she had to turn her head to see who it was. "Oh...thanks. I can't hang with Tiff, she's too much of an alcoholic than I am." She told Jonny. She appreciated the gesture. "It's just club soda, we ran out of the small bottle of waters when the bride came by." He sat down next to her. "So...how is college for you? You have another year left right?" He asked her and she had to look at him twice. "Well, if you really wanted to know then yes. It's going well, my studies have gone well so far. Haven't gotten kicked out of anything yet." "Look, I'm not trying to fight you. I'm just interested as to how you are doing." He told her and she had to look into him deeply to find the Jonny who liked to tease her. She couldn't find it. She then asked him how he was doing and she realized that she didn't know much about him either. He was successfully playing Hockey with the college that he was at, and he signed a contract with them. He was slowly becoming well known. Of course, she threw in how he probably slept with all the girls that threw themselves at him and he rolled his eyes. He joked and said she probably slept with all the frat guys. He wasn't too far off, she didn't sleep around per se but she did have an idea of what she liked. A lot of the times there was alcohol involved. They got slightly quiet before Jonny looked to her. "Do you masturbate on the toilet before you get frisky." He laughed and she chilled quickly. "What?" She asked. "I guess it doesn't mean much now, but I saw you that one time you know?" Lia froze and she felt her face turn warm and not due to the alcohol that seemed to leave her system almost to quick. "What are you..." "I saw you touching youself...that one time." He said to her.
