Chapter One "No", Elsie screamed as she spranged up from her bed, her head ached and her body was sweaty, she had just woken up from the same nightmare, she felt a salty liquid on her lips. She turned on the light and walked up to the big mirror in her room, she had been crying, right from the nightmare she had, she leaned against the wall and wiped her tears "Why does this keeps happening, Who is Alvin?", Elsie asked herself, tears still rolling down her cheeks, she still couldn't figure out why she was crying and why she felt the connection with the man in her dream, Alvin. She walked to her wardrobe, picked up her bathrobe and walked reluctantly to the bathroom, she washed her face in the sink, she crawled under the shower to take her bath. Elsie held her breath under the running water and stood still as different thoughts swept through her head. "Who is Alvin?", she asked herself the biggest question which she was unable to find an answer to, "Why does he keep messing with my head?", she asked herself again. Elsie leaned her hand against the tiled wall of the bathroom, the warm water flowed through her body, it calmed her anxiety and gave her a sort of hope which she really needed at that moment. She walked back into the room after taking a bath, she sat in front of the mirror and applied her lotion swiftly, she had a glossy skin and it gleamed in the sun, she had a shapely figure which was imp-thin. She was wasp waisted, a pair of slender eyebrows looked down on sweeping eyelashes. Her sea-nymph ears framed a dainty nose. A set of dazzling, angel-white teeth gleamed as she blew gently on her carmine-red fingernails. It was a pleasure to see her flowing, coil of leaf brown hair. Her enticing, constellation-blue eyes gazed at the mirror as she adjusted her clothe, they were over her puffy, heart shaped lips. Minutes later, she emerged from the room, fully dressed, she walked down the stairs and on to the kitchen, her mum was right there, performing her magic dishes. "Mum", Elsie called, she picked up a pancake and chomped it down, "This is good", she added, raising up the other half of the pancake "Elsie, that smell, that mark", her mum panted, pointing to her wrist. Elsie held up her hand, the mark kept glowing. The mark was invisible until she started having the nightmare and whenever she does, the mark becomes visible and starts glowing. "You had that nightmare?", her mum asked "Yes mum", Elsie replied and sigh, "It's messing with my head", she added "And what's with this sweet smell, you got a new cologne?", her mum asked, referring to the earthy scent of rose which swirled around her "No mum, I smell like this whenever this mark glows", she responded "Elsie, I met the phycologist, he gave an appointment for today, you have to go", she stated "Mum, I don't think I need a doctor", she disagreed "Elsie, you do need a doctor, I can't help you and you sure need help", she insisted "Mum.." "You have to go Elsie", that was her dad, he walked into the kitchen along with her brother, Toby "I will do that", she replied, Elsie would never argue with her dad. They chomped down their food in silence, the only noise was coming from their steeled cutleries. Elsie gulped down her orange juice, she wiped her mouth with the dish towel and sigh, "I'll be off now", she said and spranged up "Drop me off Elsie", her brother, Toby said "No", she replied briskly then picked up her bag and walked out, Toby walked right behind her "Elsie?", he said "Learn to say please Toby", Elsie replied "Not again Elsie, I'm not in for your lessons today", he grumbled "Well, that's good, get a cab", she responded and entered the car, she started it, drove out of the garage, Toby stood right in front of her car, waving for her to stop "Please?", he pleaded, with the most innocent face she had ever seen "Get your ass in", she said. Toby got in and she zoomed off, different thoughts ran through her head as they drove in silence, she was bothered as she couldn't find answers to her questions, her heart longed for Alvin and she couldn't figure out what connection she had with him. "Elsie", Toby screamed. He took the car steering from her, that was when she realized that she had been so lost in thought that she forgot she was driving, she quickly stepped on the brake, the car jerked back and forth and then came to a halt. "You will get us killed, what the hell is wrong with you?", he roared "I'm.. I'm.. I'm sorry", she apologized, she rested her head on the car steering, tears rolled down her cheeks, she was angry with herself and also angry that she couldn't find answers to her questions. "Hey, hey, I didn't mean to shout, I'm sorry", he said and pulled her to himself, "You'll be fine", he added Elsie sigh, "Let's get going", she said and pulled away from him "Are you sure you can drive?", he asked giving her a weird look "Don't look at me that way Toby, I'm okay and I can drive", she responded and zoomed off, she dropped him in his school and on to the hospital. She pulled over in the garage and walked to the reception, "Hi, I have an appointment with Doctor Smith", she said "You are?" "I am Elsie. Elsie Williams", she responded The receptionist glanced through the book in her hand, "You can go, the first office on the third floor", she directed. Elsie walked right into Doctor Smith's office, he welcomed her with a broad smile, it was like he knew she was on her way, "Welcome Elsie, take a seat", he said, pointing to a seat right in his front. Doctor Smith was Elsie's family doctor, "Thank you doctor", she replied and took her seat "So let's get to it", he started and smiled, "Your mum explained to me what your problem is and I'm sure I can help you", he added, still smiling Elsie smiled back, "You can help me?", she asked, her eyes widened "Yes I can Elsie, if you're willing to get help", he responded "Of course I am", she said but then she remembered she needed go find an answer to her question, "Can you tell me who Alvin is? and why I keep dreaming about him?", she asked Doctor Smith laughed, "Elsie, your mum told me about the dream you had", he said and spranged up, then walked to the shelf in his office, he came back with a book in his hand. I looked at the front cover but I couldn't figure out what was written, "What is this Doctor?", I asked "Elsie, you need to get treated", he announced
