Red lights flashed inside the abandoned military base like an alarm from another world.
The countdown continued.
0:55:00
0:55:59
0:55:58
Inspector Omar stood staring at Adham, while Vladimir's voice echoed through the old speakers.
"Time's running out."
Ali moved roughly towards Adham and grabbed him by the jacket.
"How do you know this place?!"
Adham breathed rapidly, his face pale under the red light.
"Because I've been here before."
Silence fell...even the countdown seemed to fade for a moment.
Omar said coldly,
"Start talking...now."
Adham closed his eyes for a few seconds, then said,
"Months ago...I was recruited for a covert operation to infiltrate a smuggling network."
"From which agency?"
He hesitated again...but this time he had no choice.
"From the Special Intelligence Service." Ali froze. The device was rarely seen, its name never officially mentioned.
"At first, we thought Vladimir was just an arms dealer… but we discovered he was transporting shipments for someone bigger."
"What someone?"
Adham looked straight up at Omar.
"Someone who wants to start a war in the region."

0:50:59
The sirens began blaring inside the base, and Omar moved quickly toward the main control panel near the wall.
The wires were exposed, and the screen was filled with commands in Russian.
"Can you stop it?" Ali asked.
"Maybe… if you get to the underground power room," Adham replied nervously.
"Then we move."
Omar opened the metal door leading to the underground passage, and the smell of damp and rust wafted from inside.
The place was like an old military maze; the lights flickered, and the walls were riddled with old bullet holes.
"This place was a real base," Ali whispered. Adham replied,
"It was used to store weapons years ago."
Then, in a low voice, he added,
"Vladimir reactivated it."
As they descended the metal stairs, Omar stopped abruptly. Photographs were hanging on one of the crumbling walls.
Old photos of officers and soldiers. But one in particular caught his eye. He approached it slowly, his eyes widening.
The man standing next to the former base commander… was General Hamza al-Husseini.
But the photo was very old, years older than the current case.
"What does Hamza have to do with this base?" Ali asked, bewildered.
Adham seemed even more nervous than before. Then he said something that changed everything:
"Because the base was previously under his command."
Omar felt the pieces of the picture begin to connect terrifyingly. General Hamza wasn't entirely the victim of a conspiracy.
He had a past connected to the place.
The three of them finally reached the power room, which was filled with old equipment and tangled wires.
Adham quickly approached the control panel and began pressing several commands. 0:42:00
0:42:59
0:42:58
Ali yelled,
"Hurry!"
But before the system could fully activate…the screens suddenly went black…then a slow clap of applause echoed behind them.
The three of them spun around, weapons raised. A tall, cold-faced man stood by the metal door.
He wore a black coat, the White Bear gang emblem on his shoulder…Vladimir.
He smiled faintly and said in perfect Arabic,
"Finally, we meet without shadows."
Omar aimed his weapon at him.
"It's over."
Vladimir chuckled softly.
"It's just beginning."
Then he looked at Adham.
"You've disappointed me."
Adham tensed intensely and said in a trembling voice,
"I've been working against you from the start."
Vladimir smiled even more.
"No…you've been working for us without even knowing it."
A heavy silence fell over the room. Omar's eyes narrowed.
"What does this mean?" Vladimir took a step closer and said,
"The whole infiltration was a hoax."
Adham froze. Vladimir continued coldly,
"The organization that recruited you... has been compromised for years."
Omar felt the ground shake beneath him. Everything was crumbling: the investigation, the evidence, the loyalties.
Perhaps there had never been a clean slate to begin with.
0:34:00
0:34:59
The red light began to intensify.
"Why are you doing all this?" Omar asked.
"Weapons don't just make money," Vladimir replied. "They make chaos."
He gestured to the base around them.
"When nations are afraid... everyone pays."
Ali approached angrily.
"You're crazy."
But Vladimir gave him a cold stare.
"No... I'm just a man who understands how the world works."
Suddenly, he held up a small remote control.
"But there's a problem."
Omar's eyes narrowed.
"What is it?"
Vladimir smiled slowly.
"This bomb isn't the only one here."
Silence fell.
Then he added,
"There's a much larger convoy moving across the desert right now."
Omar felt a chill run through him.
"Where to?"
Vladimir moved closer and whispered,
"To the capital."
Ali's eyes widened in shock. But the real shock was yet to come, because Vladimir turned to Adham and said,
"Tell them… who's leading the convoy."
Adham shuddered, took a step back, and said in a broken voice,
"General… Hamza al-Husseini."
Omar froze. But Vladimir smiled coldly and said,
"And what's worse…"
He pointed directly at Ali.
"That the man you trust most… has been sending us your movements from the very beginning."
Silence fell, slow and terrifying.
Then Omar slowly turned to Ali, who denied nothing.
