CHAPTER 15 ‘They’ve been gone too long. Far too long,’ Chester said, pacing about in the hall. It was midnight, and the children had been asleep for hours. He and Jasmine had been listening for Erin, Samuel and Johnathan all evening, but they hadn’t seen or heard anything that hinted at their return. Even Winkit, who had been patrolling along the roof, came back without any news. ‘There’s nothing we can do about it, Chester.
