CHAPTER 20 Three days later, having been approved by Martha Aqua to get out of bed and try walking around on his new leg, Johnathan was given a message that a motor carriage would be coming to take him to the Stronghold family home. His body was stiff, and he needed crutches to help him balance, but so far he'd found that his wooden leg wasn’t as cumbersome as he'd thought it would be. It was quite light, and the stump it was attached to wasn’t sore or aching as the Doktors had warned it might be until it was fully healed. A Knurse appeared, bringing him his last round of medication before he was sent home, and told him that the motor carriage would be arriving shortly before noon, so if he wished to wash and put on fresh clothes, he had best do it soon.
