Chapter 17: New Jason

Percy's POV

We were planning for a plan in the big house. Suddenly, an explosion came.

"Leo, come back here. I swear to Gods" I heard Thalia's voice screaming outside.

A moment later. Leo ran into the big house with a frightened face. He knocked over a camper, made him lay flat on the floor.

Thalia came next with the two sons of Hermes, Connor and Travis Stoll. Thalia was dragging them by the necks. The Stolls were already unconscious. I knew they had made something to get Thalia come to this point. Her clothes were in a tatters as ashes were covered her face, like she has stayed to close to the fire that the smoke cause it. Sure, there was smoke flying up from her hair.

"You really really need a lesson Leo." Thalia yelled at him.

"Relax Pinecorn Face. It was just a prank, don't take it too serious." Leo said back, while standing at the other end of the room.

I sighed at him. "What did you do this time Leo?"

"Well...uh." Leo was playing with his fingers. "I just found out some new abilities with controlling fire. So I decided to test it."

"And you chose me as your target." Thalia growled, crossing her arms.

"Well it was The Stolls' idea...maybe a bit of mine." Leo pouted.

"Why didn't you choose someone else you idiot." Thalia flared.

"Well" Leo said. "I can't touch Artemis since Percy is protecting her and she's a God. Frank got Hazel's back, even the same with Piper. I don't want to get electric shock from Jason you know."

"So you chose me instead. Just because I've no one to protect me now." Thalia scowled.

"I didn't say that."

"You..." Thalia pointed at him. She took out her bow as Leo just had enough time to yell 'Tree is on fire' and started running. Thalia chased him around the pin pong table while screaming at him to stop.

Suddenly, something odd came. The temperature of the room just suddenly dropped as shadow swirled around the room. Everyone stopped at what they were doing and their faces turned nervous like they all have noticed the strange. Except Thalia, who was smiling brightly and crossing her arms.

"Crap, crap. Man in black is coming" Leo mumbled as he ran to me and hid behind my back.

"You think you can hide from the shadow Leo?" A voice came and from the darkest corner of the room. A person stepped out.

Yes, it was no other than Nico de Angelo, son of Hades. Nico has changed a lot after 1 year. He looked taller and his muscles looked more vivid. His face still looked the same after 1 year. Still cold and mysterious. The strangest thing was his power. He radiated a really strong and dark aura. For a moment, I thought he was a god.

Thalia ran up and hugged him. Nico turned to Leo, made him gulp down.

"You think Percy can protect you forever after what you did to Thalia?" Nico asked.

I didn't want to drag into this thing. Sure if I were a god, I could manage to defeat him. But now, I'm not sure. Even Artemis had no match for Nico.

I tried to yank Leo off. "Leo choose someone else."

"Time Boy help me dude." Leo insisted, still holding firm onto my shirt. "You've found a new ability with fire right? You're the toughest guy here. Save me this time dude."

"Ask Frank to help you." I told him. "Frank also found some new powers too."

Frank immediately put his hands in surrender. "Yo don't bring me in. I can only turn into animals. That's no match for shadow and deaths."

Nico sighed. "Leo, you're impossible." Then turned to me. "So, look like you have gained back your memory eh?"

"Wait, you know about this all along?" I asked him disbelievingly.

"Of course" Nico said. "I was there when Poseidon transferred his blood into you."

"And you didn't tell me." Thalia pinched him made him wince.

Nico suddenly turned sharply to Leo again, who has just gotten back his composure. "Leo, if next time I hear you touch my girlfriend again. You know what will happen RIGHT?"

Nico rumbled as shadow emerged him. Made him grow taller and musclier. His clothes changed into a toga as his eyes were glowing red. The power spread out from him was insane that everyone stepped back in fear.

"I-I...sir" Leo stuttered as his face was white like a paper.

Nico turned back to normal and smirked. Then I felt something wet and warm on my pants. Looking down, a pool of yellow liquid was under my feet. That was when I noticed who caused it. Leo.

"What the hell Leo." I screamed and jumped away from him. "You peeped in your pants and ON ME!?"

"Ahhah no more insane power" Leo screamed and fainted.

Everyone started laughing and I smiled a little. I just had the feeling that something was not right. Like someone was missing.

Third person's POV

Jason slowly walked out from the big house. He was making his way to Half Blood Hill and kicked a rock out of his way in frustration. Thousand of thoughts was pacing in his mind.

He was the only one that hadn't got a new ability. He didn't really care about Leo's or Frank's power. Sure they were stronger. But that wouldn't mind him. Was he jealous? He believed it was. He was jealous with Percy and Nico. Their powers were incredible. They were all children of the Big three. He couldn't afford to lose them. Percy was a god, sure. But now he's just a demigod, and a son of Poseidon.

Nico had the power of shadow and summoning deaths. For now, he was the strongest in Camp Half Blood, in term of demigods. He could even beat a minor God himself. Percy wasn't so bad. He was the best sword fighter. Sure Jason was confident on his skills. But he knew he couldn't stand for long in a duel with Percy. Also Percy could control water and making earthquake. Now he had another ability with controlling fire. Percy could even handle a Giant all by himself. Jason did fight one, but he couldn't even attempt to kill him. It was Hera who did. Just thinking of that made him even more frustrating. Why can't he just have a new power like them. Maybe control some elements like wind or some sort of ice. Why he could only control electric? That's not fair.

Suddenly, he felt someone taking his hand. Turning to his side was Piper, his girlfriend.

"You ok?" She asked. "You look a bit angry back there."

"I-uh fine." He lied to her.

He didn't want to show her that he was jealous. That would be embarrassing. But Piper was too smart for that.

"You don't need to hide from me Jason." She said. "I know that you're jealous with Percy and the others isn't it?"

Jason was stunned. Sure, Piper could read everyone mind. That's not her power though. She was just too smart that she could even know what you were thinking, even when she only look into your eyes. Jason loved her for that. She not really used her power a lot. She could charm-speak anyone to do something for her. But she alway took it and complete it by herself.

"Yeah, it just-"

Piper stepped in front of him and cared his face. He had too look down, because he was too tall for her.

"Jason" Piper said. "I don't care if you're strong or not. Because with me, you're always the strongest, and the greatest. You have many powers inside you. They just haven't expressed yet. Don't worry. You will stand among with Percy and Nico in term of power soon. I believe in you."

Jason nodded at her. See what he meant. That is why he can never stop loving her. She's just too good for him.

They both walked down from Half Blood Hill and the couple didn't know, that they were out of the barrier. Jason and Piper suddenly stopped. They felt something strange was going on. The Piper pushed him aside. He fell on the ground still confusing from what she did. He heard a scream and turned back. Piper was being held by a Giant.

"Let her go" Jason demanded.

The giant turned to him with a smirk. "So you're the son of Zeus. Just like what I wanted to meet." The giant said.

"Who are you?"

"Well since you can't live for any longer, I'll tell you a bit. I'm Porphyrion. I was created to fight against your father."

"What do you want from me?" Jason asked.

"Kill you of course" the giant said. "Without you, Zeus can never defeat me"

Jason took out his coin. He tossed it up and it transformed into a golden sword.

"Fight me like a man then. Why do you have to take her as a hostage. Or you're too scared of me?" Jason said.

"Me. Scared. Of. You" The giant widened his eyes. "No way. I just need to have some fun with this demigod. She looks cute. Maybe I should have her to serve me tonight."

"Arrrr, I'll kill you." Jason roared as he plunged at the Giant. The giant just swept his hand as Jason put up is sword to defend. But the force was too much made him flew back and laid flat on the ground.

He quickly got on one knee and glared at the Gaint. Piper was struggling to get out of his hand. "I said let her go!" Jason roared again and he lung at the Giant.

The giant hammered him as he rolled on one side. I slit under its legs and made a cut on its calf. Unfortunately, as he was trying for another blow. Porphyrion grabbed his legs and threw him on the ground, created a crater.

Jason was laying in a hole and groaned. That was painful. The giant was cheering something like 'this is so much fun'

Jason stood up. He had to save Piper. He lung at the giant again. He strike straight toward him. The giant prepared to hit him in the middle. But he turned at the last end made the Gaint missed him. He jumped on its thigh the waist. He managed, just managed to jump on the hand that was holding Piper. He was about to grab her but a hand swept out. It hit him bare on the chest. Made him flew back about few meters away. Rolling on the ground.

Jason was totally beaten up at that point. He had no match for the Giant. He managed to get onto his knees and looked at Piper in pain. He was squeezing her to much. Jason wanted to come and help her, but he was out of conditions to fight. Many of his bones were broken form the last blow. He coughed out blood.

"This is so much fun" Porphyrion exclaimed.

"Jason" Piper called for him as her eyes shut tight. Porphyrion was squeezing her too much.

"Piper...Piper" Jason crawled to her. He tried to reach for her. But he couldn't even stand up.

"Aw, how pathetic." Porphyrion said and a scream came out from Piper, and she was unconscious.

"NO!!!" Jason screamed. "No" He breathed out. He couldn't believe his eyes. The love of his life was taken away in front of him. And he couldn't do anything to stop it. He caused himself why he was so weak. He should be the one staying there. Not Piper. She had given him too much. Even her life. Tears started flowing out from Jason eyes.

"Ahhhhhhh" Jason roared and lighting just shot straight down at him. The power just some how driven into his body. Like he had been recharged.

Porphyrion had never seen something like this before. The roar stopped and an explosion spread out from where Jason was sitting.

Standing there now wasn't the boy he had fought just a moment ago. He couldn't believe his eyes.

Jason was much taller and musclier like he had pumped a whole bag of androids in it. his hair was slicked back, its numerous spiky stood pointing backwards. The scar on his lips had moved to become a lightning bolt-shaped scar on his right eyes that ran down on his cheek. His eyes was glowing electric blue like two little electric balls. The power came out from him was insane. Much just like Nico and Percy. Electric was dancing on his body.

"I told you to let. Her. Go" Jason said intimidatingly.

Porphyrion stepped back in fear. Jason kicked the ground as he flew at the giant with incredible speed. He was like an electric spark. One second he was behind Porphyrion. The next was on his shoulder than under his leg.

Porphyrion couldn't see anything except just a spark of yellow electric. The punches Jason gave him, that shock up to his spine. He felt his hand missing some. Looking m down, Piper was gone.

Jason laid Piper one the ground. Luckily she was still breathing. But extremely weak. That made Jason mad. He glared back at the Giant and lung at him. He gave the giant every hard punches he could, while the giant to stood there, trying to grab the air instead of him. He knocked the Giant under his chin made him fall down on the ground.

Jason jumped away from him. He threw his hand up on the air and lighting was being sucked to it. A moment later, Jason was holding a massive deadly electric ball. He threw it at the Giant and Lighting shot down form the sky at Porphyrion at the same time.

Porphyrion just had enough time to make a scream and turned into dust.

The heavy clouds moved and replaced by the clear blue sky. Jason had turned back to normal. The small scar returned back to his lips And he felt really exhausted. That moment had drained too much of him. He dropped on the ground and fell unconscious.
