Chapter 1. Memories of A Child
I have been fascinated with Ghost for as long as I can remember.
It seems in my family the don't talk about them and they won't exist theory is alive and well.
However, I knew better.
We lived on an average street in the old Historic part of San Diego, California. I could never forget Bancroft Street Our Townhome was backed up to A vibrant canyon where my brother and I explored the vast jungle.
Bancroft Street was A wonderful place for a child to grow up. So much to see and Do. I remember one evening when I was about 5years old. It was October
I had been staring out the kitchen window as I often did, I was memorized at how dark the street was. It was pitch black. I noticed A man riding down the street. I could see him clearly because he was lit up like A fluorescent light. Just as he passed the window he just disappeared. I couldn't believe what I saw. I yelled for mom who was in the other room with the rest of the family. She came running in "Whats wrong" . I told her what I had just seen. She looked out and said Honey there is no one there!
I'd insisted to her that I'd seen a man on a bike just dissappear.
she just laughed it off and told me to get ready for bed. I did go to bed but I never forgot that man on a bike glowing, who disappeared.
I still to this day can see that night replay in my head. You never forget a ghost encounter. The next day was like any other day we played, got dirty, waited for the ice cream man. I still could not shake the feeling of the mystery rider I waited that night in the kitchen window but to no avail did he come it was as if he took his last ride in front of me. I wondered why he waited for me there was a connection somehow. Over the next few weeks the holidays took precedence in my head what with the presents, cookies and candies there wasn't much time to think on anything else.
