I tried hard not to think of what Beta Gerald said to me, but it was honestly too difficult. Was he truly considering the possibility of me choosing him as my mate? After what he said about still loving Tania? Knowing that I had my own mate here? I honestly could not make sense of it.
He ended up telling me that it was up to me, and he was only reporting what the elders suggested, but he seemed like he was in agreement with the suggestion.
