Valerie's POV
Niklaus took me his office after we were done cleaning up. Beta Jamie was seated on the couch at the corner of his room, his eyes assessing us as we stepped in.
"You both smell good." He teased, and I felt my face heat so much, I fear it might combust. I forgot that these top wolves had a strong sense of smell.
Niklaus ignored his remark and walked to his chair, before motioning to me to come over and sit on his laps. I glanced at the Beta who was staring at us with a huge grin on his face.
"Go on." Beta Jamie urged me on teasingly. "I won't judge."
"You might end up with a stab wound, Jamie, if you don't stop teasing her." Niklaus warned, and Jamie raised his hands in mock surrender.
