Blessed at birth

You’re the 15 year old of the silver moon pack. Your Alpha has white fur, as so every Alpha that preceded him, but you’ve only heard this in school. You’ve never even seen your Alpha in person. because you don’t have any friends and keep to yourself . You’re not bullied, or made fun of oh no; You’re invisible. No one even wastes energy taunting you, and you stare at every full moon, begging your wolf to come to you so that you don’t have to be alone anymore. On the night of your 15th birthday, you’re on your back porch when you get your wish and experience your first shift. It’s not painful, just a bit disorienting. Your mother hears your first howl and rushes outside to congratulate you and accompany you on your first run, but she stops in her tracks and falls to her knees, face to the earth, she looks up at you shivering in fear. Confused, you begin to move toward her, but freeze when your own leg comes into your view… Your fur is white. Hannah- As I stand there looking from my mother and to my leg that is covered in pure white fluffy fur. it almost as if it’s glistening in the moon light. The look on my mother’s face had turned my elation to questionable worry. How can this be my mother says I was assured you were supposed to have my coloring . Hannah- I can seen the concern in her eyes . I know both my mom and dad have darker fur. My beautiful mother has umber colored fur with caramel highlights and my stern but sweet father has a brindle color it’s a mixture of chestnut,auburn and creams . I step towards her and she instinctively backs up she then physically shakes her head as to shake what ever she was thinking out of her mind and in a loud concerning way tells me to shift back immediately. She then urges me to go back inside and I here her say to herself I have to tell him. Hannah- I do as she tells me I run inside . I here her follow behind me and stand in the kitchen pacing . I run passed my father who’s sitting oblivious to to what happens reading his work while sitting on the couch didn’t lift his head as he asks how my first shift went . I quickly respond with a fine and make my way up the stairs as I do I can see through into the kitchen as my mother is contemplating her next move is she working up the courage to come talk with my father but why was this such a big deal . She stops mid pace and grabs her cell phone and she calls someone I see her moving and waving her hands shaking her head but I hear nothing I can see the anxiety and fret in her face and her movements .. she quickly hangs the phone up and turns to go into my father I quietly make my way up the stairs and I am now to far up the staircase to see what will conspire between my parents but all I here is a gasp from my father and the words there was always a chance that this could happen.. I stand there frozen as to what just happened in these few minutes I quickly turn and go into my room and go straight to the bathroom to wash away the incredible feeling of dread I feel way down in my core. Clair- I race in the house behind Hannah my mind is racing. I unconsciously start to pace how did this happen we took measures to make sure this didn’t happen . My wolf Nora speaks! call him now she demands it . I grab my phone quickly dial it and I say sir it happened she shifted it didn’t work I explain to him that we need to leave as soon as possible we have to get her out of here . her fur it’s pure white with silvery tips. It’s beautiful sir. I hang up and walk with haste to David. my love my mate he is busying himself in his work he’s a a great accountant. David her wolf it’s white. Hannah- As I stand in the shower and let the water run down over me I can’t shake the feeling that’s burning and tearing at me. What was that why had she reacted so coarse toward me I just don’t understand . Why was my wolf pure white and my parents wolves were brown . Only the Alphas of silver moon bloodline have had white fur how could this be. I hear a faint hello in my ear I’m startled and I shake it off I here it again .hello I say hello Hannah I didn’t mean to startle you my name is opal I am your wolf . They follow me with their eyes from the staircase to the empty chair to the side of them . They gesture for me to sit and they both take a deep breath. My eyes dart back and forth from my father to my mother the look of concern in their eyes was overwhelming and the tears started to pool. What is going on I beg of them. My father scoots forward a bit to get closer to me my mother reaches for his hand as if to give him the strength to say what needs to be said. I can’t take it please . He starts. My eyes grow wide and tears start to fall my head starts to spin so many emotions and feeling moving inside me all at once I can’t catch my breath . My mother lets go of my fathers hand and rushes to me kneels down in front of me cradling my face . She’s searches pleads with me to open my eyes I look up into her face and she tells me it wasn’t my fault it happened because she was poisoned . poison that caused her to go into early labor. I can’t help the tears just keep falling. Clair - Hannah She had drank her nightly tea it always helped her calm before bed while she was pregnant with you it was laced with wolfsbane and silver . We are the former gammas of our pack our real names are Clair and David we are mates . The pack was told that you had died at birth along with your mother and that we had died trying to capture the assailant. David was your fathers Gamma. Hannah- I look at her with sad eyes trying to comprehend what I am hearing she try’s to comfort me and console me . The door bell rings and startles me . She’s puts a single hand on my My face as tells me to be brave and that she loves me. She says to my father open the door . It’s time!!!! Wait I say standing up quickly . Knocking my mother off of her knees to the floor . I look down at her and stutter out an apology . please don’t , don’t open the door what’s going to happen . Time for what I question. I say In my head I need time . Time to comprehend what I was just told time to stop the tears and time to figure out what is todo next. I again hear that’s same calming soft voice I heard in the shower Come forward in my head and says to me don’t fret my sweet Hannah you’re brave you’re strong you are of alpha blood. It’s opal. My father or do I call him David now opens the door as my mother hurried to her feet. two extremely tall and muscular gentlemen dress in dark Suits stand in my door way asking if we were ready to leave . I look around at everyone and my head begins to spin again everything gets fuzzy and then it goes dark. I had only passed out for a few seconds my eyes begin to flutter open I can here Clair say help me pick her up we need to leave now . Quickly David says and we leave with the slam of our front door. into the huge waiting Black SUV . I here David say Beta, Delta it’s been a long time.. the two men laugh it off and one says why so formal David and chuckled again. Clair nods her head to both men Beta Dominic Delta Owen it’s lovely to see you again . They smile back and say Clair it is about time. How have I never even knew my own parents names . David and Clair the former gammas of the silvermoon pack. I feel awkward calling them mom and dad now . The two men in the front of the SUV say nothing else to my so called parents the rest of the ride to where ever we are headed . But I do have a feeling they are likely mind linking. I can see both my parents eyes glaze over every so often . I have never experienced it before this night so it’s just a guess is that’s what’s happening so much I need to learn. I sit quite in the middle of them staring out the front windshield. The big man driving keeps darting his slate grey eyes from the road to the rearview mirror and looking at me with what seems to be wonder . It was a nice reassuring feeling that I was not expecting but was welcome in my now state of confusion . As I look out at the passing cars and the small city fading behind us. Our little town is long gone and we have been driving deeper into more of a scenic view more Forrest and mountains and beautiful tree leaves changing in the early fall .we turn off onto a dirt road and it’s more of a dense Forrest now. It felt like we were driving for days but it was only about 3 hours . I start to see In The distance a clearing and what looks to be a large mansion or manor up on a spacious leveled hill like what you would see in the English country side . Smaller homes off the side of the road leading up to the wrought iron fence that must be over 15 feet tall and some homes and smaller buildings On the same side of the gates cascading around the huge manor. We slow down to the entrance to the gates and it slowly opens we drive in and up to the Front door and standing at the top steps I see a older man in his late 40s with dark Blond shoulder length hair with golden highlights his beard is full but short well kept. . He’s dressed in dark gray dress pants and a white long sleeve shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows . He’s a handsome man strong jaw line with a stoic face. I have not taken my eyes off of him and Clair leans in as says Hannah that’s your father Alpha Connor Strongreen. . I look at her and she gives me a sincere smile . I step out of the car following David my savior the only father I have ever known. But I have this pulling feeling inside me that I have never had before and i can’t help but to think it’s because of this man I see before me. David steps towards him and hugs the large man standing in the door way and speaks with him while they hold the hug. He turns to me and says Alpha Connor this is your daughter Hannah. Im floored and my mind is clear and I urge myself to bow my head and curtsy. I slowly raise my eyes to meet his and find that he has the same eyes as me ocean Blue with a golden ring around the inside of the iris .. my heart races and my wolf opal prances in happiness in my head and says Alpha our blood our poppa…. I stand straight up and he flings his arms around me and pulls me close and I feel he let good a deep sigh . He says my pup my world I have missed you.. I instantly feel calm that pull I had when I first got out of the car this must be a connection to this man I have never seen or meet the tears swell in My eyes and I just cry. I look at these old portraits of past Alphas and Lunas . I focus back to Connor my Father still holding tight to my hand explaining what everything is . Connor— This is the main pack house . This is where all the high level wolves live with their mates and families. I see some people the must be omegas doing their chores . They all stop and bow but they all lift their heads slightly to take a peek at me they all stand as we pass them and they go about their work. He continues to talk and try to explain to me which rooms are used for what and I’m getting lost in it all . Clair sees I’m overwhelmed and clears her throat as says My Alpha it seems Hannah is a bit tired from today’s events I think maybe she should get settled eat something and rest before we continue she needs a little time to digest everything so far. He kisses me on my head and I can’t help but reach up over his large shoulders and hug his neck I nestle in and say I’m happy to be here give a quick kiss in the cheek and take Claire’s Hand she directs me to my room on the 5th floor where all the Alpha family stays. As clair settles me in and makes sure I got something to eat. She sits with me on the edge of the bed and says that she will never leave me and I will always be her daughter no matter what and I feel in my soul that’s she’s telling me the truth . And I give her a loving smile and hold her tight she laid me down and tucked me in and pulled a lose strand of hair placing it behind my ear and slowly pet my head and lulled me to sleep like when I was a baby . Hannah- I woke up feeling much better than the day before .I was exhausted with all the feelings of being Bombarded with life changing news and knowing today starts a new chapter in my life. I sit and look around my bedroom it was so much bigger but it looked almost identical to my room at our little house in our small town with our normal lives .. am I dreaming or is this real? A knock on my door I slowly say come in and in walks Clair. She smiles gently at me I c****d my head at her and ask if I was awake or is this a dream she sits down next to me and tells me it’s all real . She explains my room was decorated like it was at home to make me feel more comfortable so i would have a safe calm space to come to when all of this was getting too much for me. I nod my head and say thank you it does make me feel calm. Clair- I apologizes Hannah for keeping such a big secret from you but it had to be done for our safety and especially yours. I look at her softly and says I know you are only 15 and may be scared but this is very important for you to understand that you shifted earlier than most she-wolves because of your Alpha blood. Female Alphas shift early to find their mates early on. so they can work together and train to become head of their packs . You will start training with the rest of the young wolves to learn how to protect your pack and mate along with continuing school studies. Are you ok with that much for now. Hannah- I agree with a head shake and a wide smile I’m kinda excited about training . She laughs at me that’s my girl I know you will do great. There’s another knock on the door this time it’s harder louder Clair walks over and opens the door slightly she says a few words then opens the door all the way as she does I stand up and see Alpha Connor he asks me if it would be ok if he can talk with me . I allow it and Clair takes her leave. Alpha Connor walks around my room politely asking me if everything is to my liking . I tell him it’s perfect. He gives me a shy smile . I can tell he’s trying really hard to find the words to talk with me but he can’t seem to find them . I take it upon my self to ask him if it was alright if I asked him a few questions . It was a bit funny and awkward to see him struggling to find his words . Hannah gives Me a warm smile and i hear my wolf Stryker howl with appreciation shes smart and confident she will do well Connor. Hannah continues her questions. Why do I have white fur she asks . This is gonna be hit or miss should I tell bier or chance her finding out on her own . Stryker demands telling her everything no-more secrets. Hannah- I mean I know now I’m of Alpha blood but Clair and David were so sure I was going to have dark fur. I see he is struggling with himself and his wolf his eyes are glazed over He stands and I see he kind of doesn’t want to answer . We had to ask a light witch to help us mask your fur using white magic . She looks at me puzzled . I know you may not follow the higher archy of werwolf laws but it’s common knowledge that wolves don’t use other super naturals for help. But our family has used the help of a light witch named Ivey for generations.. she has proven to be a trusted Ally and we only used her when it’s absolutely necessary. And for you it was just that. I had asked her to create something to help mask your fur color but she had mentioned that it may not work since our blood line was so strong. We had to try. Ivey had made a potion to help turn your fur brown like Claire’s . Hannah- How I never drank anything . He laughs and say well you know your every day multi vitamin you take . I look up from fidgeting with my fingers in shock something so simple I had never known. He still laughing and says well it didn’t work either way so that’s why you are here . Connor stands and walks towards me he kneels down in front me me he holds my hands . Clair told me you have a beautiful coat of white fur it sparkles in the moon light she said.. I look up surprised he knew that . I didn’t think Clair even payed much attention that with how scared she look when I first shifted . Connor- Our pack has never known any of our Alphas to have that silvery essence to it. Would it be alright if we had our pack doctor do some blood work and test to make sure al is well with you..how can this young woman be so calm I sense her thinking over the doctors visit . I can finally properly Introduce the rest of the higher ups in the pack to you . Soon enough we will have a welcome home party for you so the entire Silver moon pack can welcome you back. As we head down to the Gamma floor we see David and Clair walking out of their bedroom two other Gammas I assume are already walking towards us . Alpha The burly man with shaggy brown hair and quite good looking in a rugged way bows his head to my father . The young woman with him bows her head as well and looks towards me and bows to me and says little alpha which makes me giggle . My father introduces me to the giant of a man and his slender pretty mate Gamma Shane gamma Bianca this Hannah. It’s lovely to meet you Bianca says Shane seems a bit of a funny guy he pats me on the head like a puppy makes me laugh out loud at him . Bianca elbows his side and says you could have just bowed or shook her hand you Dope. He shrugs his shoulders like he had no idea it was silly to pat a 15 year old in the head. they move past us and I see Clair and David I run over to them I say good morning to David and we turn to follow Connor to the breakfast hall . We make our way down and take our seats the omegas bring in the meals and they all try to make their to walk past us to bow their heads In Respect to The Alpha . I say to myself it’s a lot going on so they always bombard him with so much bowing over and over it seems like it’s a bit much. Opal comes forward it’s not him they are trying to appease its you . I look around and see that they are stopping before me and Bowing I thought it was all for Him. He looks down at me with such Joy . He says it’s ok it’s a little overwhelming but they all just want to make sure they show their respect . I start to calm and smile at everyone passing and bowing while we finish breakfast . . We sat and a watch some of the training and I see a woman with fiery red hair blowing in the wind she is dressed in a white coat Connor turns and says Helena I was just going to come find you. -she is very pretty and curtly she smiles at me and ask if we could go to the pack hospital and run some rest . I look for approval and my father asks Clair to go with me that he had to discuss things with David and the rest of the higher pack members. I was happy that the doctor was a woman . I wouldn’t feel comfortable with s male doctor just yet. But I was even happier that Clair We walk across the beautiful manicured law n to the sizable pack hospital. As we walk I see what seems to be a school with a playground out front I see a beautiful small church and I think that’s s library . Opal is howling in excitement I guess she will live to read as much as I do. We make our way inside go into the hospitals room I get change into a gown and Clair helps to tie it in the back for me.
