Bill and Eric were shocked by what was awaiting them inside from the outside it looked like a prison but behind the walls was a whole town , a normal looking town .

People walked around freely busying themselves with whatever they were doing .

There was a bar a sherif officer , houses and Eric could see crops growing in the distance they even had a hospital.

He looked at Bill “ what the hell “

Bill was just taking it all in also shocked with the normality of it all.

Ria jumped off her bike “ welcome to Brookfield’s“ she said beaming at them .

“ Follow me “ she signalled to them to follow her into a building next to the sheriffs office.

She opened the door and strolled in followed by the men .

At the table inside sat a man working through some papers he glanced up to acknowledge Ria coming through the door and stopped in shock fixing his gaze on Bill “ oh my god you made it “

Bill stopped in his tracks “ Gordon “ they approached each other and gave each other a very manly embrace .

“ You know each other ?” Ria questioned .

“ This man saved my life“ Bill said .

“ When it all kicked off this is the man that helped me fed me and gave me shelter and explained what the hell was going on “

“ Its good to see you alive “ Gordon replied “ and you “ Bill answered .

“ Your boy ?” Bill asked in a more serious voice .

Gordon negatively shook his head .

“ I’m so sorry “ he said putting his hand on Gordon’s shoulder .

Gordon nodded .

“ Your family ?” Gordon asked .

Bill also shook his head .

Then Gordon looked passed Bill to the figure behind him Eric .

Bill turned around “ this is Eric” he introduced Gordon who nodded an acknowledgement and put his hand out for Eric to shake .

Take a seat he motioned to a large long table .

Everyone sat apart from Ria who just lent in silence on the wall in the corner .

Eric noticed she hadn’t spoke since entering the office , he thought she had a real sense of arrogance about her but also mystery .

“ Productive hunt? “ Gordon asked Ria quickly turning his attention to her

“ Not bad “ she replied

Gordon and bill were catching up and Eric just sat there observing them then he turned his attention to Ria she had just removed her sun glasses this was the first time he seen her eyes she was beautiful.

Eric wasn’t really interested in woman not because he was gay he just didn’t he was a loner he just didn’t get involved in anyone or anything he had never had a woman but her eyes they had him fixated.

He had this funny feeling in his stomach and his d**k was responding to it “ what the hell “ he thought he quickly looked away from her and tried to distract himself with bill and Gordon conversation but his eye just went back to her and this time she met his gaze .

They locked eyes for what felt forever but then she broke his gaze she stood up and placed the glasses back on “ I got stuff to do I leave you with Gordon and find you later “ she said and swiftly left .

She needed to get out of this tense situation she felt really on edge around Eric .

Eric found himself watching her leave and she turned and looked back as she walked through the door “ what did that mean ?“ Eric thought to himself and shook his head and focused back on the matters at hand .

Gordon was just explaining to Bill that Ria had found the village and built it all up from scratch how he met her and helped her and how they went out looking for survivors but they were very select on who they took in as they didn’t want any trouble and everyone played a roll everyone did a job whether it be washing cooking or guard duty .

Bill nodded “ so are you In charge ?“ he asked .

Gordon laughed “ no “

Ria Is in a way but she decided one person couldn’t make the right choices so she created a counsel one person from every group represents there people it works well “ he continued .

“ Only one person ?” Eric asked .

“ Yes as the bigger groups could over throw small groups if we let them have more so we keep it to one per group it works well but Ria could over ride if needed but she never had to yet “

“I see “ said Bill “that makes sense .”

“ She a clever girl she goes out every day and gets all the supplies , she protects this town we be lost without her “

Eric found it surprising this girl covers her big heart with arrogance and attitude .

Once they had finished discussing the town and it’s workings Gordon offered to show them around .

Bill was impressed with what Ria had achieved here but not shocked he knew she was capable of so much more than what she use to do but Eric found himself keep thinking about her eyes he shook his head trying to avoid the distraction.

Gordon motioned to the door and walked through it followed by Bill and Eric .

Bill was excited to explore Eric just found himself thinking of her and that he was more excited about seeing her again .
