RIO I was fuming from the idea that Sam was trying to use this idea to smoke out the traitors around town, as a ploy to separate me from Wolf. I don’t think anyone could doubt my affection for Wolf, nor his towards me. I wasn’t one to stray, and I certainly would never consider someone like Jace, who was coming off as an a*s-kisser to Sam and the triplets, over someone who stands on business like my Wolfie. If he kept pushing, I would stay true to my word and leave the compound. I didn’t care; I wouldn’t let Wolf be disrespected like this. I made it clear from the start that Sam’s and Wolf’s issues were their own, and although Wolf had tried to make amends and move towards a fresh start, it seemed that Sam was lying and holding onto this bitter grudge. —At the risk of losing the daught
