Nathan
As I sat buried under piles of files on my desk, I heard a soft knock on my door. "Come in," I replied in a gentle voice. After a moment of silence, I looked up to see a new face standing before me, realization dawned on me–the new PA. Her eyes were the most stunning I had ever seen, and her beauty was angelic. I couldn't help but notice her long legs, but I quickly shook off those thoughts when I realized she was still staring at me.
"Are you done?" I asked sternly, interrupting her gaze. She blushed and lowered her head, clearly embarrassed that I had caught her checking me out. She handed me a cup of coffee, and I took a sip, feeling energized to tackle the files on my desk.
As I buried my head back into the work, she made a strange noise, and I looked up to see her still standing. I ordered her to sit, and she quickly took the seat opposite me, clearly fearful. I asked if she had been briefed on her job by Clara, and she nodded timidly.
"Words, Miss Grey," I said with piercing eyes fixed upon her. She quickly replied, shrinking downwards. I tersely dismissed her, and she scrambled out of the room.
Despite her timidness and shyness, I couldn't help but marvel at her beauty. She looked like a goddess when she blushed, adding to her charm. With a smile on my face, I went back to work.
Fully immersed in my work,I didn't notice when it got to lunch break until Ryan busted into my office without knocking.
"hey man".He greeted, spreading on my cough.
with a sigh,I got up and decided to join him.
"You know, sometimes I wonder if you're the only CEO," stated Ryan. "You work too much, bro. When was the last time you went out on a date? Rumor has it that you're gay, and if I weren't your best friend, I would say it's true."
"Very funny, Ryan. But you know I don't have time for that kind of thing and besides love doesn't exist," I replied, with a hint of bitterness in my voice.
Ryan looked at me with concern. "Come on, man. You can't be serious. Love does exist, you just haven't found it yet. You need to take a break from work and start living a little. Maybe you'll meet someone who will change your mind."
I rolled my eyes. "I highly doubt it. Besides, I don't need a relationship to be happy. Work is my priority right now."
Ryan shook his head. "You're missing out on so much, man. You need to learn to balance work and life,Remember that life is short. Don't let work consume you completely."
I smiled at Ryan. "Thanks for the advice, man. I appreciate it But...."
"That's it man, you're doing it again. No buts......you need a woman in your life".
"Don't you have a company to run?" I asked .
Ryan let out a laugh. "I'll go for now, but know you can't always avoid this topic forever," he said, making his way straight for the door.I drew in a deep breath. Sometimes Ryan can be overbearing.
As Ryan left, I took a moment to reflect on his words. Maybe he was right, maybe it was time for me to start focusing on my personal life as well. I had been so dedicated to my career as a CEO, always prioritizing work over everything else. With Ryan's words replaying in my head, I decided to hed home early.

Walking straight into my mansion, I was hit by a sweet aroma, making my stomach rumble.
"Nathan, is that you?" asked Mariam from the kitchen.
"Yes, Mariam. What are you making?" I asked, taking a deep breath.
"Oh, just some old recipe I remembered. My mother used to make it for us when we were children," Mariam stated, probably lost in her thoughts.
"It smells nice," I replied with a smile on my face.
"I'll be in my room," I called out, already making my way upstairs.
"Go freshen up and come eat, Nathan," Mariam called back, her voice filled with warmth and kindness.
After a quick shower and change of clothes, I headed back downstairs to find Mariam setting the table for the delicious meal she had prepared. The enticing aroma filled the air, making my stomach rumble in anticipation.
"I hope you're hungry, Nathan," she said with a warm smile, as she placed the last dish on the table.
"Always hungry when you're the chef, Mariam," I replied, feeling genuinely grateful for her kindness and culinary skills.
We sat down at the table, and Mariam served us both generous portions of her special recipe. As we ate, the flavors danced on my tongue, and I couldn't help but express my delight.
"Mariam, this is absolutely amazing. Thank you so much for making this," I complimented her sincerely.
Her eyes twinkled with joy, and she humbly replied, "It's my pleasure, Nathan. I'm glad you're enjoying it."
Throughout the meal, we engaged in light-hearted conversation, sharing stories and laughter.
