Oh Boy ! Don't call me an angel, Ain't one

Any life tip for today ?

“ Reine ! Why the hell my office has become a garden ?” My voice boomed in the spacious yet simple office of mine but now it has so many colours that even rainbow would look simpler.

And here she comes, my best friend from childhood, in best times and worst, she was always there for me and vice versa.

“ Dude ! Some are from our client and some are from the staff members for another huge victory.” She informed me. 

“ Tell someone to put this all out and please no more flowers in my office.” I pled her and she nodded at that but not without her weird facial expression.

She turned on her heels to her way out but turned to me just before opening the door. 

“ Today’s the big day, everything will go as planned don’t worry.” She tried to assure me. 

“ I hope so.” I showed her my fingers crossed as I had my laptop open on the oval shaped table and I was seated on my brown lush leather chair.

In the silent room like even breathing can be heard, the only thing was making voice is my heels. I am keep tapping my foot on the tile floor, one of my traits when I am nervous.

Just then, I had a text on my phone for which I have been waiting from morning and now it’s noon time.

I ushered towards my phone from the glass window where I was standing before.

I opened the text with heavy breath.

“ I am sorry, we failed to hack it.”

I received this message from the man I appointed for very important task.

I bent down and opened the sliding drawer on the floor just below the centre of my chair. The drawer isn’t that big but enough to hide some important stuff.

I brought a small phone out and dial a number.

“ What happened ? You said you can do it otherwise I would appoint someone else for this work.” My venom was flowing without any boundary. 

“ Suddenly some security code came up from nowhere, it wasn’t there before. We hacked several information before as well for you but this time it’s like someone knows we are trying to ruin them.” He informed me but this is the day. We can’t fail today, I cannot wait anymore to ruin that man. 

“ Can we do nothing anymore ?” I asked hopeful that there is some way out while keep biting on my lips painted in wine colour lipstick. 

“ We have to wait till next chance we get.” He disconnected the call with that. 

We can’t talk for longer anyway.

I was keep pacing back and forth when someone knocked on my office door, I yelled to allow them to enter. 

Some worker came and dropped a very big bouquet on my table. 

I didn’t say anything to him but went close to it to look who the hell sent this big bouquet.

I took card in my hands and opened it but there was no name. Only the thing written was,

Your bloody admirer 

Okay fine ! Bloody wasn’t written there but this is not the time, argh ! my mind is exploding.

“ Reign “ I yelled out her name so loudly that i felt my office walls trembling,

Of course it was a joke ! *eyeroll*

I was leaning on my table while facing the door. 

She came with heavy breath like she ran a marathon. 

“ What happened ?” She asked the first thing while still trying to catch her breath.

I gestured towards the flowers with deadpan expression.

“ I am not asking about that.” She asked with hopeful expression.

I shook my head at that and she stumped her leg on the floor. 

“ Please throw this flowers out of my office, I told you to take care of it.” I started focusing on my laptop with that.

“ Then now what ?” She asked again about the topic I am keep trying to dodge. 

“ There is always a tomorrow...” I quoted it and she smiled a little at that while staring at the floor.

“ You should go on with this date of yours only if he is cute, oh and wear that red dress of yours, it looks good on you and how the hell can you even think about wearing that green crap dress ?” I said it all in one go while small smile is there on my lips. 

Her jaw dropped at the floor while she was piercing me through her eyes. 

“ I hate you, why god why ? I always forget not to think about anything around this weird best friend of mine, why I always forget about that ?” She started throwing her limps like a small stubborn child. 

“ Now Go and send Lilac in.” I asked her of it and she nodded her head at that completely back into the role she is assigned to.

After a while, Lilac came into my office not before knocking of course.

“ Did I make any mistake ?” She asked the first thing after entering the office.

I shook my head while leaning backwards to have a support from the chair and my hands folded on my chest. 

“ Take a day off.” I suggested her that. 

She looked at me with more fear. 

“ Just take a day off, spend it with your child.” I complete my sentence and she had so many emotions swirling inside her. 

“ And here’s the coupen of my favourite restaurant, they have the best soups in newyork so I suggest order takeout of soup from there and bring it for your kid.” I told her and she was crying but happy tears are flowing. 

Natalia ... umm nice name for a kid. 

“ Boss ! I really wanted to go to my Natalia because she isn’t well but i really need this job and-.... just thank you so much..- boss-...... you are the best human I have ever meet, no you can’t be a human.” She was saying between the sobs.

I was about to get up to console her but just then,

“ Of course ! She isn’t a human, an angel has came on earth.” The voice boomed in the office as that face who is keep appearing in front of me nowadays entered the room like a hero,

He entered my office with full blown smile, wearing brown blazer matching pants and white shirt to go with.

Looking delicious ! Shut up mind

“ What the hell are you doing here ? Are you following me ?” I interrogate but he was keep staring at me while smiling. 

I didn’t even realise when Lilac ran off but I am thankful she did. 

“ Did you like the flowers ?” He asked while took a seat in front of me in one of the chairs like it’s usual for him to barge into my office. 

“ Why the hell are you here ?” I repeated my question with narrow eyes, I was on verge of losing my temper. 

“ I knew, you won’t call me from the number I wrote on the card so I came by myself to say something very important.” He smirked at that while leaning closer to the desk to reach me but I went back touching the back of chair. 

“ There was no number on card.” I groaned. 

“ I knew you won’t call so why should I even give my effort into writing that number.” He made a face like it’s the most smartest thing to do.

“ Go away.” I was on peak of my irritation level. Not a good day to mess with me. 

But he shook his head at that and leaned back in the chair adamantly. 

“ What do you want ?” I asked while massaging the tamples and looking at him through periphery. 

“ I want to date you.” He declared and my mouth went agape. 

“ What’s your name ?” I asked with narrow eyes because it seems like I have seen him somewhere. 

“ Dwayene Smith” He brought his hand out for the hand shake and when i did the same, he kissed on knuckle rather than shaking hand. I snatched my hand back. 

But when his words processed into my mind, now I know where did i saw him. 

“ You are that italian business man, right ?” I asked and he nodded with arrogance. 

“ What’s the real motive behind your proposal ?” I looked suspiciously at him but that made him smile broader if it’s possible.

He straighten himself and looked straight into my eyes. 

“ To date you, to know you, to marry you, to have kids with you..” He said with the wink like it’s the most easiest thing on the earth to say.

I looked to find something suspicious but I thanked mentally to him for the filter he used into his words because His thoughts, a shiver passed through the spine with just the thought of it.

“ Impossible.” I answered with finality in my voice. 

“ I am determined.” He shot back while playing with his phone which is in his hands. 

“ We will see.” I challenged him and seems like he has accepted it. 

He got up from his chair and leaned towards me which surprised me and I even forgot to move.

He savour my cheek with the back of his right hand and I slapped his hand away but he laughed at that. 

“ We will see angel.” With that he ushered out from the door but not without one big blown smile towards my deathly stare.

“ Oh any life tip today ?” He asked with humour dancing into his eyes.

He keep mentioning it that he know who I am but I am glad he isn’t sure.

His thoughts gave it away...

“ Don’t ever barge into my office like this, or else....” I threatened but not without fake sick smile.

He gave me flying kiss and disappeared behind the door.
