Pure love

No one has ever told me that life could be so unpredictable. Who knew that the man who used to clean toilets would now be owning the company that I work for, the same man who was my boyfriend that I decided to treat like trash because he was literally nothing while we were still together. He's now married to my ex best friend. It hurts me more that I get to see them everyday without fail, I even thought of quitting my job but again who will support me and this growing thing in my tummy?!

My name is Anmy and I am 27 years of age this year, I am single and pregnant to a married man who wants nothing to do with me or the baby.

Let me take you back 7 years before today. I was just a little girl from the village who came to the city to look for job since my parents died when I was 13 years and had to live with my cruel aunt. Life was never easy for me. I came to the city with nothing and I knew no one, imagine a 20 year old girl alone in the city. After roaming for almost a day, I stopped by a small spaza to ask for water where I met this young handsome man selling.

Ammy: Good afternoon sir, may I please have a glass of water?

He disappeared somewhere and came back with a bottle of water and gave it to me, I didn't waste anytime and gulped the water down as he was watching me without saying a word. After I was done I thanked him, that's when he said a word.

Jack: You look like you are hungry as well, when last did you eat?

I looked down embarrassed, I mean was starvation written on my face?. I wasn't able to say a word as tears streamed down my face. I last had food a day ago before I left the village.

Jack: Calm down, I'll get you something to eat. Come in and sit down.

He really did make food for me and I digged in leaving no grain of rice. Who knows when will I get another plate of food.

Ammy: Thank yoy so much sir for your kindness, I am Ammy, the only daughter of late John and Martha.

Jack: Nice to meet you, I am Jack. So tell me whaf is a beautiful girl doing alone in this big city?

Ammy: I am looking for a job. I am from the Eastern Cape village.

Jack: Oh I see.

We continued introducing ourselves that's when I realised he was also an orphan. We shared our dreams, telling him that I want to be a lawyer, given any chance I would pursue that career. Interesting how he also wanted to own a law firm. Time went by, je offered me a place to sleep which was his one room house. He slept on the floor and gave me his bed, what a gentleman. In the next morning we woke up and refreshed and I decided to help him sell at the spaza since I can't stay in the house the whole day. A week went by with that same routine. After that week, he decidedd to go and look for a job while I sell at the spaza, better right. He went on and found a job as a cleaner at the mall. It was going to pay him better than what he usually makes a day at the spaza. After a month of him working, he decided that I should stop working at the spaza and go enroll for my law degree, I couldn't believe it, it was like my ears were hearing gibberish but that's what he said

Jack: Honey I have decided that you go and study, I will pay for your tuition fees and everything that will be needed

Ammy: My love, as much as I want to study, the money you making is not enough for supporting the both of us and the fees

Jack: I am used to sleeping with bread and water, and this time I will be sacrificing for something more essential so don't worry about that

The word grateful was not enough to describe how grateful I was. A week passed by and I was accepted at a college that had a residential property in it. I lived there and made a new friend called Amara. She was from a very wealthy family and she lacked nothing, never mention the designer clothes she wore. I loved that for her but I had a bit of jeslousy in me. Time went by and schools closed and I went to back to my boyfriend's place. He was still at work by the time I arrived so I decided to cook something for him. After cooking I took a bath then wore my night dress only. Since we met we never got intimate, matter of fact I'm still a virgin. Tonight is the night to become a woman, this man deserves the precious that I've kept, I thought to myself. The sound of the door opening disturbed me from my thoughts. It was my boyfriend, he just got back fro. work.

Ammy: Surprise.!

I screamed to him, I didn't tell him I was coming back, I was supposed to come back the following week because that's when he was going to get paid. Lucky me, my friend Amara gave me money to come back, "I'm not leaving you alone, take this money and go home" those were her words.

Jack: My love, I'm so happy to see you. Where did you get the money to come?

He said that approaching the bed, where I was seated. He leaned over to kiss my forehead.

Ammy: Amara gave me.

I said that getting up from the bed to dish up for him. I gave him his food and he ate. After he was done, I yook ghe plate from him and washed it as he was refreshing himself. I was stealing glances, looking at how big his thing was and that gave me second thoughts.

Jack: What are you looking at?

I wasn't aware that I was staring until he said it. I looked down smiling and biting my nails. He came to me and lifted my head to look at him using his index finger. The look got steamy, he picked me up, wrapoing my legs around him. He went straight to bed and put me down. He lifted my night dress and and looked at me. I looked at his already erected thingy that was dripping pre c*m. I swallowed very hard seeing how this thing multiplied.He went down on me and ate me like his life depended on me. We did the deed and immediately went to sleep.

We woke up the next day and did oir morning routine, he went to work and I went to the spaza to continue selling as we had to make more income in all ways possible. Time went by and it was back to school. I left even though I was hurting that I have to leave the man I love behind and alone with no one taking care of him. "I am doing this for us, for our future and I'm promising to you that I will come back with that degree" I thought to myself as I was looking at him with my eyes glistening with tears of gratitude. Why would a stranger sacrifice so much for an ordinary person like me, I'm so blessed.

I went back to the res. Life with different kind of people with different backgrounds is not nice, especially if you are coming from a poor background. You have to try to not be tempted in all ways because there are blessers out here targeting the poor, like me.

I woke up in the morning and took a bath and prepared for my morning classes thaf starts at 9:30. Amara did not come back yesterday. I went on and had breakfast. After I was done, I went to my classes. As boring as they tend to be I had no choice but to continue attending because I had nothing else to do.

Amara

My boyfriend is one of the clingy guys I've ever dated. I like him so much but I honestly think he is after my money. This man never wants to do anything that will give him an income, he's fully dependent on me. In varsity I met a friend Ammy who's also my best friend, that girl is so humble and is sincere. Our friendship is not based on the money I have, that's the reason I love taking care of her even though sometimes she doesn't want me to but I insist.

I am Amara, Ammy's varsity best friend and this is a story of how I ended up marrying her first boyfriend.

I never got to meet Jack in person but I could tell over the phone and by what he's doing for Ammy that he's the most sweetest. I loved that for my best friend, that's all she needed after her traumatic childhood. Life went on and two years passed by and we were now lawfully graduated law practitioners. This was a deal breaker for Ammy and Jack. God knows how blessed Ammy is. After graduating we got an offer at the biggest law firm in the city. The offer included a house that we would be sharing, Ammy and I. Good thing is that it was not far from where Jack lived. He was going to be able to come and see Ammy everyday.

My boyfriend and I are still together, he is still that lazy person he was two years ago. I think I have gotten used to feeding him. Not that I'm complaining but as a girl I also need to be spoiled once in a while.

Ammy graduating has been always my wish and to think I've sacrificed this much and it came true really makes me more than happy. I loved Ammy from the first time I laid my eyes on her, I remember I couldn't even speak well. So here we are today, celebrating her graduation. This is our deal breaker, the one we always prayed for. And I am Jack, this is the beginning of my short lived heartbreak.

Ammy: Baby please I'm begging you, I promise to see you everyday.

I knelt down before him and put my hands together.

Jack: It is so sad that I will have to let you go because it is what we've always wanted but there were options you could've considered.

Ammy: But as I've explained, I wont have to worry about the travelling fees since I'll be riding with Amara and that will help us with saving for a new house.

Jack got up and pulled Ammy up from the floor as he was forcing a smile on his face. As hard as the decision was to accept he had to accept it as a man.

Two weeks later, Ammy and Amara had signed their contracts with the law firm and they have now moved to their house.

It was such a spacious and elegant house for the beautiful ladies.

They both enjoyed goung to work together, all was well in their lives. Jack came to see Ammy everyday after work. The question is for how long will Ammy persevere to this. With each day passing Ammy felt like Jack was suffocating her with his presence. Her attitude towards him started changing slowly but surely it was. Poor Jack! He came everyday without fail to Ammy and Amara's apartment, he was always looking forward to see his beloved girlfriend. She started avoiding his calls and hiding when he was coming to the house. Can this be the beginning of his worst days?
