“You’re really going to go through with it?” Clara asked incredulously of her best friend. Naomi had just revealed that after intense negotiations with Bliss, that she was now on board with having a child. Just one, only one and no others. They would try three times with artificial insemination and if by the third time they were still unsuccessful then they would walk away and never discuss it again.
“Yeah,” Naomi’s smile was nervous at best. “I’m not convinced we are doing the right thing, but I love my wife and I’ll do anything to make her happy.”
Bliss reached for her hand and squeezed it across the table. “That’s more than I can ask for.”
“You two are crazy,” Clara shook her head, “but I am so excited for you both. What happens with your Bellona contract?”
