“At the end of the day Clara, I would have done the same thing,” Bliss spoke through the speaker as Naomi murmured her agreement. “The woman implied he knocked her up and moved her away from his most prized restaurant to avoid a scandal. It’s common knowledge he doesn’t like anything close to scandal and he’s buttoned up pretty tight. You were in a lose-lose situation. Had you gone in and questioned him right away, you would have looked like a crazy possessive psycho. If you had done what you did and walk away to process, you look like you believe her. Either way you were screwed, and I think walking away to process makes more sense than going all half-c****d on him.”
