4.MARKING MY TERRITORY

Mira's POV

“Quick question babe, where do you guys get all this money”I asked as we were packing in front of Palmer's, making Julio to chuckle.

“From working”he simply replied

“FYI, My parents work Julio, they are rich but you guys are filthy rich”I said

“Former Alpha's started the business.When they are about to retire, the teach the future Alpha how to run the pack and the business.So when the time comes, the new Alpha runs the business and adds infrastructure, more businesses as he develops the pack with the help of his beta and gamma”he answered.

“Are these people aware that you guys are werewolves?”I asked as he helped me out of the truck.

“No, we do not disclose that information but we have a few wolves working here but they are asked to be careful we don't want any human to know what they shouldn't”he replied

We walked as he gave me a quick overview of the setup.Once we entered the hotel, I started receiving daggers from the receptionists and other females around, only if looks could kill, I would be dead by now.I tightened my hold on Julio's fingers who gave me a reassuring smile.We were heading for the elevator but he pulled me towards the reception. ‘I thought he saw what was going on, then why would he lead me to a bunch of horny, jealous bitches’.

“Good afternoon sir”Said the red head receptionist sweetly to Julio and gave me a bitchy face as she looked me up and down then turned her gaze to Julio once we were in front of her desk.She was literally eye f*****g him as she licked her lips, somebody had to put her in her right place and I would gladly play the role.Not a good gesture on the first day of work, but, oh well. Her clothes were revealing more than necessary, her t**s looked like they would pop out of the little top any minute.

“Becky, is this how you treat our guests?”Julio asked.All the employees stopped to listen.

“No sir, I hadn't realized that we had a guest, I thought she was perhaps another leech giving you a hard time”She said looking at me making Julio growl and Becky had to take a few steps back although she was behind the reception desk.I guess she was a were wolf.

“The only leech giving me a hard time whenever I come here is you and this woman over here is my mate.And now I have a joke for you, you are fired”Julio said.

Once the words left Julio's lips, the initial flirty, proud Becky face was replaced by a worried and teary face.

“Sir Julio, I am so sorry.This will never happen again, I promise.Miss, I'm sorry”She cried looking between Julio and me with a pleading face.Julio wasn't even a little bit affected but I was, he tried to pull me towards the elevator but I stopped him and gave him a quick kiss.

“Let me handle this babe”I said to Julio who was inhaling my hair to calm himself down, I stepped in front of the so called Becky.I heard Julio snaking his arm around my waist.

“Ms.Becky right, why not tread carefully if you know you can't stand your ground for seconds after being fired? Where I come from, that is what we call being stupid.My name is Mira Knowles Miller and your former boss here is my boyfriend, but I will give you another chance to redeem yourself.Once I find you even looking at him inappropriately or treating anyone who comes here like s**t, then losing your job will be the least of your worries because next time, I won't be too nice.Let's go babe”I said.Julio and I started walking but I remembered something.

“Hold on babe, I think I forgot to tell her something”I said.

“Whatever you say princess”Julio said after a chuckle returning where Becky was.

“One more thing Becky, I would prefer it if you wore less revealing and appropriate clothes, I don't think those are professional and may make our guests uncomfortable.Thank you”I said and Becky repeatedly nodded her head.

When Julio realised that I was done, he looked at all the employees around who went back to their work.We walked to the elevator with my head held high.

“You seemed to be enjoying every moment back there”Julio said once he started the elevator.

“Hell yeah, she needed to be put in her right place and I'm sure none of the employees is stupid enough to make the same mistake”I replied

“But you gave her a second chance babe, where did you learn those skills? Did you take a course of human resource management or something?”he asked wrapping his arms around my waist.

“I may have learned a thing or two when I visited dad's businesses”I replied

“And you look sexy too when you are jealous cutie pie”He said smirking.

“Don't blame me babe, I was marking my territory”I said

“And I'm not even a little bit complaining, I like it when my woman is protective of me”he said nibbling my neck making me moan, from there he captured my lips.My hands made their way to his perfect hair.I don't know if it was because of experience but Julio was a perfect Kisser because my legs always became weak and my panties became weak whenever we kissed.We pulled away when the elevator stopped.It stopped right on his office.

His office was magnificent, it was made of an opaque glass and someone passing by within the hotel wouldn't see a thing unless he entered the office.However, it had a transparent glassy wall on the opposite and you could take in the beautiful view of the sun, flowers and nature outside.

His office was neat, everything was in order starting from the documents on his desk to the ones stored in drawers.There wasn't even a little bit of dust anywhere.

“This place is so beautiful”I said once I settled my self in one of his moving chairs and moved around.

“Not as beautiful as you are gorgeous”

“So what's the plan? Are we having lunch up here or we are going down”I asked.We would never get anything done with his flattery, it would only get us into complicated situations.

“We will do whatever you want gorgeous”

“Maybe we can have lunch up here, after that, we will take a tour around the hotel”I suggested.

“What do you want to eat?”he asked

“I honestly don't know, I was told that everything here is tasty.Why don't you order for me babe?”

His eyes clouded over for a second and when they were back to their normal blue clour, he smiled telling me that food was on the way.

“So the chef is a were wolf too?”I asked

“Fortunately, the head chef is, so I don't have to go all the way down to make an order”he replied

Ten minutes, later, our lunch was delivered and before the food was uncovered, the room was filled with an aroma.Which turned out to be coming from Crabs, mashed potatoes, beef stew, Rice,dessert and drinks.

“Damn, this food is so delicious”I said after my first bite.

“I'm glad you like it, hot cookie”replied Julio.

After lunch, the waiter came back and tidied the place and we started making our tour around the place.The person in charge of giving people a tour offered to help but Julio turned him down saying that he will show me around himself and I was glad.

We visited the guest rooms, the washrooms, the kitchens, conference rooms, the lobby, the gardens and lastly the theatre.Satisfied me, touring a beautiful place, hand in hand with the man I love made my day, some employees looked at us in awe and others who felt bad about it unfortunately had nothing to do about it because of the earlier situation we had at the reception. Every room in hotel was tidy.

“You will be performing from here cutie pie, if it's not big enough we can merge it with the next room or move it to another place”Julio said.We were standing on the stage of the theatre, it was big enough to accommodate around two hundred guests.The seats were made up of Maroon clothes.

“What are you saying, this is enough baby, thank you for this and if someday the number of people becomes more than the seats around here, the we can think about your options”I said

“Whatever you say my queen.So when do you want to start working?”he asked

“Anytime from now but I have a question, have people been coming here lately?”I asked

“Yes, they come here when Alexandria is playing the piano but they have always wanted an artist too”he replied.

“You mean you don't hold concerts here?”I asked.How can a beautiful and expensive place like this one not be used as a venue for concerts.

“Promoters come and book the place for concerts sometimes but our guests needed someone to perform at least once in a week”he replied

“I would love to at least perform on weekends but then Kara and Yasmin are always schooling during that time, what will we do with the twins and Eric”

“We can stay with them during day and in the evening, Kara and Lizzy can take on the role or the nannies can take care of them or we can drop them to their grandparents place and I'm sure they will be happy to spend some time with their grand kids”He said

“I wonder what I would have done without you babe, you have a solution to everything.I love you so much”I said giving him a hug.

“I will accept that complement when I find a solution of how you and I can be together and start our family together without risking your life cutie pie”he said

“You don't have to stress about that now babe, we will find a way together”I said.

“Babe, I have a request”I added

“What is it?”

“Can I invite my girls to come and start working here with me? They really need the money and I don't want them to continue working at the pubs too” I asked

“You don't need to ask princess, you can invite them to work here”he replied.

“Thank you”I whispered

“Why are you crying sweetheart”He said drying a lone tear that I hadn't realized had fallen.

“I'm wondering what I did to deserve this“I said

“What do you mean my love”He asked confusion written all over his face.

“Me being yours, you are so perfect.I don't think anybody would ever do this much for me”I elaborated.

“You are mistaken love, I'm the one who is blessed to have a perfect second chance mate like you and you deserve every beautiful thing in the world”he said cupping my face.

“I have a question though, you call me lots of names but you mostly call me hot cookie and cutie pie”I curiously asked.

“Because, you smelled like cookies and pies back in the hospital and you still do”he replied

“I do? Why can't I smell it?”I asked trying to sniff myself making Julio chuckle.

“Because, it's just me and my wolf who can know what you smell like baby”He replied

I now wanted to know what he too smells like.“How come I can't smell anything on you besides that breathe taking perfume?”

“Because, you are not a wolf baby”he replied.

Damn, I was missing out on so many things simply because my mate was too scared to turn me.From there we made our way back home.
