7.THE ASSURANCE

Julio's POV

“So it's this weak excuse of a human mate you are talking about” I saw red when that sentence came out of Alejandro's mouth. I wanted to rip her body into pieces.I couldn't help but growl at her.

“Say that one more time and my face will be the last thing you see on this earth”I snapped.

“Does she know what you are because as far as I know humans think that we shifters are monsters.Did you know that he is a monster were wolf sweetheart” she asked looking at Mira.

I was about to hit her when Mira ran towards me and touched my arm in an attempt to calm me down and it worked. This woman was an angel and this toxic b***h standing in front of us was nowhere compared to her.

“Yes I know he is a werewolf but he is not a monster, the only monster I see here is you and for your information b***h even if he was a f****** alien, I wouldn't leave him”Mira replied

“I must admit, I'm in love for your confession of love towards him but too bad for you because when I like something, I stop at nothing until I have it and I do not want to share and that guy over there is someone that I like”Alejandra said.

“ Shut up and leave Alejandra or else I will do something that I will regret”I warned.

“Those empty threats do not work on me Julio, but I would really appreciate it if your handsome face is the last thing I see on this earth”She said licking her lips.

“And please, keep it down bad boy, I'm sure you don't want these humans to find out who we are. See you around pretty boy”she said looking at me and then gave Mira a quick ugly glance and left.

“Let's go” I said grabbing Mira's hand and led her out of the bar.

“What was that Julio, who is that woman and what does she want”Mira asked once we were in the car.

“Don't mind her baby, let's just go home and try to forget that that s**t happened”I said

“No, you are not keeping me in the dark I want you to tell me exactly what's going on”she firmly said

“ I don't think it's necess-

“What.Is.Going.On”She cut me off repeating her question with a punctuation and I knew there was no room for argument, I had no option but to tell her.

“She says her name is Alejandra, and that she's been looking for me for 2 years now saying that we had s*x in Las Vegas two years ago but you have nothing to worry about babe, there is no way I'm letting that b***h ruin our lives”I begrudgingly answered.Mira looked at me for sometime.

“The fact that she has been looking for you for two years now, tells me that she's not the kind to give up that easily”she said

“Let's just ignore her and go on with our lives.I don't care what she does or does not do. I'm now mated to the woman I love so she will get nothing from me, I'm no longer the man I used to be.I don't think we should waste our time thinking about that crap”I replied.

We drove back home and reached there at 10 p.m. The guys were already in their rooms so we picked our dinner on our way to our bedroom. we decided that from today onwards, we would start sharing my room with my mate.We freshened up, had our dinner and chose a movie to watch, we cuddled on the couch as I massaged my Mira's feet.

She was unlikely quiet this evening and it was me who did most of the talkingp, the choosing of the movies.she could say a word or two when I asked her something and I knew that it was because of the incident at Hurricane bar.

“Baby, I can tell that you are mad at me and I completely understand where you are coming from, for that I'm truly sorry.Please talk to me”I pleaded

“I'm not mad at you baby, it's just that I'm a little bit upset and I'm scared of losing you”she replied looking up at me.

“You are not going to loose me cutie pie, I'm not going anywhere.You are my home and family now, I will always get back to you”I truthfully said.

She connected her lips with mine, I opened my mouth and let her little tongue in as we kissed passionately.she was pouring all her feelings in that kiss and I knew she was really scared.

“I love you Julio”She said after recovering from the breathtaking kiss we had just shared.

“I love you more princess and don't you ever forget that”I said caressing her cheek.

After the assurance, she returned to her normal self.We continued watching the movie until she passed out and the movie was now watching her.She was so adorable, I switched off the TV, carried her to bed and joined her as we looked forward to the next day.

Mira's POV

When I woke up in the morning, Julio's spot was empty and cold so I knew he must have been gone for sometime.In one day, the early morning training had become my enemy but since it was for the purpose of our Pack, I would share my mate with it.

After taking a shower and brushing my teeth, I met the girls down for breakfast.

“ Good morning guys and how are my favorite kids doing”I said pecking the kids' chubby cheeks and after making sure I saw their smiles revealing their toothless gums,‘ They always made my day bright’ I sat down to have my breakfast.

“Is everything okay Mira?” Lizzy asked looking concerned.What was she talking about?I'm sure I looked more than okay.

“Everything is okay, do I look otherwise?”I asked looking at Kara and Lizzy.

“You look fine to me”Kara said looking at Lizzy with a questioning look.

“ I have finally got my gift that Aunt Regina talked about of detecting lies. I can tell that deep down something is bothering you” she said

“Oh really, congratulations girl I'm so happy for you”I said

“That is awesome Lizzy, you keep surprising us.Congratulations babe”Kara told her friend.

“Thank you girls.Now tell me what happened”she asked.

I had no choice but to fill them in on what happened at Hurricane bar and all my worries.

“My brother is a changed man and I can tell that he loves you so very much.So you have no reason to worry”she said

“I know that, but I saw the determination her eyes and I don't want what happened with Victoria to happen again” Victoria was Julio's first mate but she was obsessed with Arthur so she ended up putting Lizzy's, the twins and Eric's lives in danger.It was a miracle that they all survived the fire and the effects of smoke.

Soon,the guys came and joined us at the table.

“How was you night beautiful?”Julio asked giving me a peck on the lips.

“It was great handsome but I think I am pregnant”I said and as soon as I finished the sentence, Julio's smoothie shot from his mouth and nose.The guys tried so much not to laugh but failed.His face immediately became worried and he looked shocked.

“I thought it takes something like a month to find out.Do you find out on day one and you told me that Lizzy-”he trailed of with the questionsvand by this time the guys were laughing even louder.They knew what I was doing to this guy and the fact that they were already fathers and Alex's second child was on the way, they knew that I was screwing with Julio.Poor guy.

“Relax I'm kidding babe, I just wanted to see the look on your face”I replied laughing hard.

“You should have seen what you looked like dude.It was priceless”Alex said holding his belly.

“ I got him a camera.See how you look big brother?” Lizzie said showing him the Video she took of him on a her phone.It was like she knew that this was going to happen but I hadn't told anyone anything, in fact the idea just clicked my mind when he was greeting me.

“Give me that” he said trying to snatch the phone but Lizzy managed to dodge him.

“You should delete that” he added

“I don't think I'll delete it just yet” she replied. I laughed at him without hiding it because they did embarrass me yesterday and today was his turn. Payback was a b****

When breakfast was done, I went to do some work regarding the payment of omega's at the pack house house.When I was done putting money on each of their accounts and granting some a vacation, I went to find little Jerry and his sister. We had a playdate and I was already late, he was going to be so mad.

So before heading out I made sure to pack for them their favorite chocolate cake and cookies that Lizzy had baked, they wouldn't be mad for long once I give them that stuff. We had bonded since the day I mate him while we where walking around with Julio.

“Hey, kids how are you doing?”I asked once I reached their back yard.

"Finally you are hear miss beautiful, I was starting to think that you lied to me”Jeremiah said giving me a hug.

“I was just a little busy but I can't like to you cutie”I replied playing with his cheeks.

Valley was busy decorating her play house or she was just purposely ignoring me.I walked towards her to find out.

“Hi Valeria, are you okay?”I asked crouching down to meet her level.

“No I'm not okay Mia”she replied looking down at her little hands.

“Ohh and why is that”I asked

“Jerry doesn't want me to play with him, he says I'm a little girl”Valley was around two years old.

“Jerry, why don't you play with Valley, she is your sister” I turned to look at him and asked.

“Because she is too young she doesn't even know how to hide when we are playing hide and seek.She is just boring”he replied frustration written all over his face.He was a little boy who acted like an adult.

“I have an idea, why don't we teach her first and after we play together for her to learn very well so you guys can have fun when I'm busy and I fail to show up.Would you love that?”I suggested

The look on their cute little faces told me that they were thinking about it.

“I love that”Valley excitedly said

“Cool, let's do that”Jerry said clapping his hands.

After minutes of teaching little Valley how to hide, we started playing and the kids seemed to enjoy the game.Once we took a break, I gave them the cake and cookies and the look on their faces was priceless.The sight of them stiffing their cute little faces with the cake gave me joy.

“I can tell that you are going to be a great mother”I heard Silvia say from behind.

“Thank you Silvia.I love kids a lot, they are cute, innocent creatures that make my day even brighter”I replied standing up.

“You are right, Kids are a blessing and I am so happy and proud feel proud to have them”She replied.

“I haven't got a chance yet of taking care of my own pup but I kind of feel what you are saying”

“Like I said earlier, you are going to make a great mother and your will feel what I'm saying”

After playing with the kids a little longer, I decided to go back to the pack and check on Julio.I hadn't spent any alone time with him and I really missed him.
