"She was born to end a war. He was sent to end her."

Carmela, a quiet vampire noble, never imagined falling in love with Apollo, the fierce Alpha of the Lotus werewolf tribe. But their forbidden love sparked more than scandal… it triggered an ancient prophecy that could finally bring peace to their blood-soaked worlds.

Until betrayal struck.

Hunted by her own kind and pregnant with a child destined to change everything, Carmela vanished into the human world where she gave birth to a daughter, Alexandra.

Eighteen years later, Alexandra is strong, fearless, and completely unaware of the legacy in her veins. But secrets don’t stay buried forever. When a mysterious vampire named Dimitri appears charming, deadly, and hiding a mission Alexandra is thrust into a world of prophecy, lies, and impossible love.

Because Dimitri is no ordinary vampire. He’s the prince of the Vampire Kingdom. And his mission is clear:

Make her fall in love. Then kill her.

But love was never supposed to get in the way.

As war brews and hidden enemies rise, Alexandra and Dimitri must choose: obey fate or defy it. Because if they fail, not only will their love be doomed...

The entire supernatural world could burn.

Chapter : The Night of the Eclipse
Carmela stood at the edge of the ancient balcony, the full moon bathing her pale skin in silver light. The cool breeze carried the scent of midnight flowers, but it couldn’t calm the storm swirling in her chest. From her view high atop the Blackthorn Castle, she could see the entire valley stretching like a painting below herb forests so deep they swallowed the moonlight, and rivers that gleamed like liquid silver. It should have brought her peace. But tonight was different. Tonight was the Eclipse. She heard the whispers echoing through the halls of the Vampire Kingdom. Whispers of unrest, of power shifts. Of prophecy. But Carmela had never cared for politics. She had lived quietly in the shadows, far away from the royal court, using her noble title only when necessary. Her days were spent tending to her greenhouse and her nights in silent reading or wandering under the stars. That peaceful life shattered the moment he arrived. "You're awake early," said a smooth, masculine voice from behind her. She didn’t need to turn to know who it was. Apollo. The scent of pine and musk told her he was near. She closed her eyes briefly, steadying herself. "The moon doesn’t sleep. Why should I?" A chuckle. Low, warm, and far too familiar. "You say that every time." She finally turned. Apollo stood there, taller than most men, his strong build cloaked in the ceremonial black and gold robes of the Lotus pack. His long hair was tied loosely, and his golden eyes held a dangerous mix of wildness and warmth. A werewolf Alpha. Her opposite. Her forbidden lover. "And you always answer with a smile like that," she replied, allowing a rare curve of her lips. Apollo stepped closer. The balcony suddenly felt smaller, the air heavier. He reached for her hand, his thumb grazing over her cold knuckles. "Tonight's the Eclipse," he said softly. "The night the prophecy awakens." Carmela looked away, her throat tightening. "You believe in old stories?" "I believe in us." Her eyes snapped back to his. So sure. So stubborn. Apollo had always believed in fate, in purpose. Carmela had only ever believed in surviving. And yet here they were. Their hands entwined, standing on the balcony where no vampire or werewolf had ever dared stand together. The ancient prophecy whispered of a vampire and a werewolf whose bond would shake the foundations of both kingdoms. Bring peace... or total destruction. Many had laughed it off. Others feared it. But none had expected it to start with a kiss beneath the moonlight between two enemies. Carmela remembered that kiss. It had been months ago. After a summit where neither of them was supposed to speak to the other. She had wandered into the woods alone, and Apollo had followed her. Words turned into arguments. Arguments turned into tension. And tension... ignited something neither of them could explain. Since then, they had met in secret. Moonlit walks. Stolen glances. Silent promises. But tonight felt final. "He knows, doesn’t he?" Apollo asked. She stiffened. "Hades always knows." King Hades. Ruler of the Vampire Kingdom. Cold, cunning, and terrifyingly powerful. He had ruled for over two centuries without opposition. No one defied him. Not even Carmela, his distant cousin. She had stayed under his radar by being invisible. Quiet. Uninvolved. Until Apollo. "I won't let him touch you," Apollo said, his grip tightening. Carmela exhaled shakily. "You can’t stop him. Not alone." "Then we won’t be alone." She looked up, startled. Apollo reached into his cloak and pulled out a small scroll. "What is this?" "Hope," he said. "A plan. Our escape." The scroll detailed a route hidden trails through the old mountains, safe houses guarded by his most trusted wolves, and a ship that would take them across the sea. To America. "You want to run?" "I want to live," he said. "With you. And..." His hand moved to her stomach. Carmela gasped, stepping back instinctively. But Apollo followed, kneeling in front of her, pressing his forehead against her abdomen. "You know?" she whispered. "Of course. I can hear two heartbeats every time I’m near you." Carmela felt her composure cracking. She had hidden it from everyone. Even herself. The baby growing inside her was a miracle and a curse. Proof of their love... and fuel for the war to come. Apollo rose to his feet, cupping her face. "Come with me tonight. Before the court summons you. Before Hades makes his move." Carmela wanted to say yes. She wanted to run into the night and never look back. But something stopped her. Duty. Fear. The weight of a thousand years of hatred between their kinds. "I... I need time." Apollo stepped back, nodding. He didn’t argue. He never did. "I’ll be in the forest by the Crescent Rock," he said. "Midnight. If you don’t come... I’ll understand." Then he was gone, a blur of black vanishing into the night. Carmela stood alone, her hands trembling, the moon now partially eclipsed by shadow. The silence that followed was thick. Until another voice slithered into the air. "Going somewhere, cousin?" Carmela turned slowly. Hades stood in the doorway. His eyes gleamed crimson, his expression unreadable. He wore his signature cloak a deep maroon lined with black fur and his presence was as oppressive as ever. "Enjoying the view?" she asked lightly, hiding her fear. "Oh, I always enjoy watching people reveal themselves." He stepped forward, his smile thin. "Especially traitors." Carmela stiffened. "I don’t know what you mean." "Don’t insult my intelligence. You think I wouldn’t notice your little disappearances? The scent of a mutt lingering on your robes? Or the extra heartbeat in your chest?" Her breath caught. The air turned cold. "It’s not what you think." "Isn’t it?" he asked, voice velvet-soft and venomous. "You carry the child of a beast. You’ve broken our laws, our trust, our very bloodline." He moved closer. "And worst of all, you dared to do it behind my back." Carmela raised her chin. "You have no right to judge me." "I have every right," he hissed. "I’m your king. And I loved you long before that mutt touched you." The words hit her like ice. Hades stepped back, composing himself. "But love is weakness. And I cannot afford to be weak." He turned to leave, pausing only once. "At sunrise, I will announce your betrayal to the court. Unless, of course, you do the honorable thing." "What are you saying?" He didn’t look at her. "Take your own life. Spare us the shame." Then he vanished into the shadows, leaving Carmela breathless, trembling, and more determined than ever. Midnight couldn’t come fast enough.
