End Game
In the White House Press Room, on a screen behind MJ, three bomb icons overlay a map of Turkey. The map dissolves into footage of explosions. Three Turkish rebel encampments disappear in billowing clouds of smoke.
MJ stands behind a podium. She addresses a packed room of reporters. “I have one thing to say, to the terrorists that blew up flight NQ836. You thought we would be vulnerable, in this time of mourning. You thought wrong.”
The press jumps to their feet, to ask questions.
Bruce Cannon of the Reveal Channel says, “Turkish President Yavuz called this an unprovoked attack on his sovereign territory. What—”
MJ cuts Bruce Cannon off. “No questions.” She retreats from the room, while cameras flash.
