I busied myself with the paperwork on my desk, my pen scribbled on a piece of paper, and suddenly my mind drifted to the mission at hand. My beta was tailing Felix to Hon's location, if anything goes wrong, if Felix so much as betrays me—he would die before he drew another breath
There was a knock on the door, “Who's it?" I asked.
“It’s Jacob."
“Come in."
“Good day, Alpha," Jacob entered the office, closing the door behind him.
