Vera's POV I stirred, opening my eyes. My eyes met the familiar decor and I knew I was in my room. I had no idea how long I'd been out, so I sat up and immediately regretted the action. I felt the ache and then the memories flooded in. I was almost r***d. It was no longer an unusual occurrence if you asked me... I was beginning to get used to it. When I first opened my eyes, I saw the guard across the room with a broken neck. How had I done that? I have never transformed fully, I didn't have the strength other wolves’ age did, but I was able to protect myself when I was. In danger? It wasn't adding up.
