Why would he ask for me though, Has he forgotten so soon what happened?
"I'll be there, let me change," I said and Jacob nodded exiting my room.
I took a shower and then a change of clothes before leaving to see him. As I stepped into the hallway, all eyes were on me. I was used to their stares but this was different.
"Look at her, the pretender is here."
I heard a group of guards chatter and stopped. When did men develop the habit of gossiping? I stared at them and immediately the whispering died down.
"Can I ask a question?" I said, walking towards them.
They frowned, one of them finding their voice and saying "Why? So you could frame us again." He said and I frowned.
