These past few days, the pack has been nothing but a boiling steam of chaos. As much as I wanted to just run away from everything, I couldn't. Somehow, I felt Phil needed me around. He has never told me that, but I just felt leaving wasn't the option now.
After the outcome of his meeting with the elders, it seemed like they were putting a lot of pressure on him, just because he was trying to solve Drew's murder.
I went to the pack's library—something I had missed doing. I never had the time to pick up a book and read. And it only crossed my mind when I got tired of my bedroom.
I checked my favourite shelf for enemies-to-lovers romance tropes, and just as I skipped through so many books, I found a particular one that suited my mood.
I couldn't help but try to ignore everyone
