After a rogue attack a few years back where the rogues had gotten into the house the place was completely remodelled and everything is now high security. We even have shutters that lock the place down while under attack. The door opens up to the large kitchen, dining room, all white marble and Matt black appliances with copper detailing. I walk through the kitchen and tv/cinema room and straight down the hall past the 4 double bedrooms to our room at the end. It was a large enough room with a huge king size bed in the middle. A tv hung on the wall right in front of the bed, behind the bed had a wall separating the room into 2, it was a large walk in closet that we both shared and off to the side was a large double bathroom.
I run in and shower quickly throwing my eggy clothes in the bin. I scrub myself clean then pull on some high waisted black skinny jeans with a black Rolling Stones crop top and some white sneakers. As I walk back to the room Mark’s laying on the bed playing on his phone. He smiles at me as I pull a brush through my short bobbed hair.
“Damn you look hot”
I chuckled looking him over, his T-shirt had ridden up, his stomach and that sexy v was poking out. I shudder at how damn good looking he is and turn pulling on my leather jacket
“Come on we better go, I want to see my surprise”
He grins, hopping off the bed and wrapping his arms around my waist kissing my cheek.
“Come on then beautiful”
He takes my hand grabbing both our bags off the floor and we leave heading towards the packhouse dining room. As we step off the last step I hear arguing and I groan rolling my eyes.
“Don’t, they are right my parents should have put them in there place a long time ago”
I shrug and we walk into the kitchen, everyone stops then I hear the sound of eggs smashing, I look to the noise where maddie is holding her phone. She looked pissed. She banged her fist against the table standing up with a growl. Everyone stands back in shock
“This has got to stop she is the future Luna of this pack, child or not she needs punished for this”
I raise my eyebrow in the air at her. She was only 14 but she was so hilariously funny but also very quiet so to see her look at her parents like that was actually quite shocking.
“And she will babe I promise, Ashley love I’m so sorry for what they did. I promise they will be punished”
Sophie says to me pulling me in for a hug.
“Ashley I promise by the time you get back she will have learned her lesson”
Noah adds pulling me in for a hug next. Jaxon growls making me look to him
“You would want to be sure before she comes back here. I’m sick and tired of sending her here for her to be abused. She won’t be back until it’s sorted”
I freeze and look to mark, mark pulls me back against his chest
“If she’s going I’m going. And I agree WE won’t be back until that b***h gets what she deserves. Come on babe it’s your birthday tomorrow let’s go have some fun”
His parents jaws are on the floor as mark pulls me out of the room, I hesitate looking at them as Noah’s face softens and he smiles at me
“I promise I will sort it out”
I nod and follow Mark out to the car, he opens up the back door and I climb in as he throws the bags in the boot and he climbs in beside me.
“Mark I appreciate the sentiment but your family and this pack, it’s yours, you have to come back jaxon is just angry he will calm down and we will be back at school on Monday”
He shakes his head angrily
“Nope not happening, I want her head this time she went too far. We stay until she is gone and we aren’t going back to school. We can do online classes and graduate early ok?”
I have to admit that sounds pretty damn nice. Not having to deal with all the kids and the bullying sounds good
“Ok I’ll do online but we are still coming back next week, your ceremony is in a few months so you need to be here to take on the pack stuff”
“It’s your ceremony to, this pack is yours just as much as it is mine”
I smile leaning against his chest as everyone else climbs into the car, Lucy looks at me excitedly taking my hand and squeezing it.
“I’m so excited to show you your present”
I grinned at her, They were amazing and they loved me from the moment I found them. They took me on as one of their own, spoiled me rotten and taught me the important things in life. My parents were assholes and I hated them. It takes a lot to admit that but the only thing they ever did thinking about me was trying to save me from the Lycan rogues. These 3 did more for me in one night then they did in my entire life.
We drove for around an hour towards home, we stopped and drove into a human town and into a car dealership. I frown looking around to see where we are going
“Surprise”
They say at the same time, I frown looking around at the shops nearby wondering where my present is. Lucy laughs grabbing my hand and tugging me out of the car, she pulls me to her side and turns me around to look at the cars
“You are choosing a car Ashley”
My eyes nearly pop out of my head and I turn to look at all 3 of them
“What? That’s to much no way”
“It’s not to much you are ours plus now you can come and go as you please so turn around and choose a car”
I don’t know where to look or what to say but every emotion comes to the surface and I burst into tears
“Youuur geeeetingg meee a carrr?”
I sob as the 3 of them pull me into their chest
“Hell yes we are. We miss you and we are hoping you will come home more if you can drive there”
Scott tells me as They pull me into a group hug and don’t let go until I start to hiccup. Scott wipes my face grinning at me then stands out of my way and pushes me towards the car lot. I look back at them
“I have no idea about cars, tell me the best ones and I’ll choose from them?”
I look at Jaxon knowing he is the one who knows cars best, he taught me how to drive and he had the patience of a damn saint because I was awful at it. He smiles, wrapping his arms around my shoulders and walks me towards some cars. He points to 3 different ones and they were probably the most expensive ones here.
“Are you sure that’s a lot of money”
“Only the best for you plus we are rich so just choose your favourite”
I smirk and look them over. One convertible, one car and the last a jeep, all 3 were amazing but this place was far too cold for a convertible, the car and jeep were amazing but the jeep was definitely my favourite, I point to it grinning
“That one”
“porsche cayenne gts amazing choice, what colour do you want?”
“Black”
You can’t go wrong with black
“Good, let me go tell the man. You can wait in the car for me”
He pushes me back towards everyone else, I can’t wipe the grin off my face as mark encloses me in a bear hug
“You like it?”
“I love it, I can’t believe you all did this for me it’s amazing”
“Good, come on it’s freezing out here and you have goosebumps, damn I don’t know how you deal with the cold weather, I don’t even get cold but it still annoys me”
Lucy says climbing into the back of the car, by the time we get home it’s dark out but the kids are waiting patiently for our return, I jump out and run to the house and as I walk through the door
“Asheeeeeeeeeee”
Carter sings out running into my arms, I catch him and Twirl him around kissing his little cheek
“Oh I missed you so much buddy”
“Misss you too”
I set him down as he takes of out the door to great his parents, Carly comes out of my bedroom covered in makeup I put my hands in my hips as she looks at me guiltily
“Carly what were you doing in my room”
She shakes her head with her hands out infront of her, her little golden eyes bright as she looks at her feet
“Nofing”
“So you weren’t playing with my makeup”
She presses her lips together and looks to the roof
“Nope I waudnt pay wif you makup I’m not alwoud”
I chuckle, she is head to toe in bronzer and concealer, her eyes covered in every colour her hands sparkling like crazy. I have to turn away and grab my mouth to cover the laugh just as jaxon and Lucy come in. Jaxons eyes goggle in his head and Lucy snorts laughing. Scott comes and gasps then crosses his arms walking towards her. She looks to the roof and then her feet looking innocent as hell.
“Excuse me young lady but did you break the rules?”
“Nope”
Nana comes out of my room holding a pile of bedsheets she sees us and smirks as Carly looks anywhere but at her daddy
“Carly are you lying to me”
“I don’t know what youuu ar talkin bout daddy”
I cover my mouth and try not to laugh
“So why are you covered in your sister's makeup?”
She purges her lips and taps her chin
“Nana was playin wif it an I told her bad gurl and she put it all ober me. Bad nana”
She points at nana who’s jaw drops and I can’t hold it back anymore I roar and laugh, mark nearly chokes on his water as jaxon comes over scooping her into the air
“You big fibber, you say sorry to nana for fibbing so I can go wash this off you”
She pouts rolling her eyes
“Finda sowee nana”
Jaxon lifts her into the air and carry’s her upstairs, Nan dumps the washing into a basket and comes over pulling me into a hug
“Hey honey, sorry about that she snuck in when I went to the bathroom. Took the kid less than 2 minutes to destroy your makeup, your room and herself”
“Don’t worry I don’t use it anyway. And seriously how could you be mad when she comes out with the stories that she does”
I was grinning, I was only here a minute and I already feel so much better. This is why I love home so much. These people were my family and they made everything better. We settled in having Chinese and talking about anything and everything then we went to bed early. But as we settled in with a movie Mark’s phone rang, he put it on loud speaker
“Hey dad what’s up?”
“We talked to Aine, she will clean the school and gym everyday for a month on her own. At school her and her friends have detention for the next 2 months and if they do anything to hurt the future Luna again they will be expelled and possibly thrown out of the pack with their families. The families have all been notified and they know they will be declared as rogue so they promised to put manners on the kids. If they try to even call her a name they will be in trouble and if the principal doesn’t punish them on the spot he will be fired and declared as a rogue. Now please tell me that’s enough for you both to come home?”
I nod in approval smiling, mark puts his finger to his lips
“Yes that’s fine but we are both pulling out and are going to do online classes from the packhouse. Plus it will give us more time to prepare for the ceremony”
Noah goes silent and he sighs
“Fine online classes but you both still need to graduate”
“Come on dad we would have graduated already only they teach too slow in that school. We will be graduated within the month”
“Ok ok I’ll take your word for it. Now where is Ashley”
“Right here Noah”
“Would you stop with the Noah, call me dad, anyway I’m sorry about that earlier today and I want you to know that we sent your birthday gift with Lucy so you can open it first thing. And remember we love you sweetheart”
“Thank you no—dad, tell so—mum thank you too, we love you both and we will see you Monday”
“Good good, now go get some sleep and have fun tomorrow”
We hung up the phone and go to sleep. I wake up to someone bouncing on the bed
“Asheeeeeeee wake up asheee”
I keep my eyes closed until he climbs up to poke my face
“Boo”
I jump catching him and throwing him in the air he squeals giggling
“Asheee scare me”
I pull him down and roll over hugging him as Mark wakes up and starts to tickle him, he squeals, jumping up and running away. Mark kisses me softly as someone bangs a pan in the kitchen
“Breakfast is ready”
Lucy calls out, my stomach rumbles and he pulls away laughing
“Just in time”
He jumps out of bed stretching, I do the same pulling on my fluffy socks and tucking my fluffy pyjamas into them. I walk into the kitchen and everyone screams surprise nearly giving me a heart attack
“Fuckity balls a little warning jezzz”
“Bad word you can’t say bad word asheee”
Carter scolds straight away, making me laugh as my heart thumps in my chest. Nearly pissed myself in fear but I shake my head at him
“Sorry Carter, you all just scared me, I didn’t mean to say it”
He likes that answer and goes back to his table where Carly is devouring pancakes like a full grown person. Luke eats like a normal person so I turn my attention back to the table taking my seat. We eat first then it’s present time. I wasn’t really expecting anything after getting a car but I was wrong. First pops and nana handed me a bag with a grin on their face. I thank them and open it up, inside are 2 diamond cuffs, they are similar to Lucy’s. I gasp looking them over, white gold cuffs encrusted in real high quality diamonds.
“This is to much”
“No it’s not, that’s what every girl in this family gets when they reach 18. this goes with it, it’s from Noah and Sophie”
I take the second box, tears flow from my eyes. I'm so damn emotional all the time but the love they have for me shocks me everytime they make an effort. I open the box and inside is a silver cuff choker necklace completely encrusted with diamonds. A small wolf set in the middle, the wolf was black and had bright blue eyes matching my own.
“It’s beautiful, thank you so much”
I wipe the tears from my face and hug my grandparents, they kiss each cheek hugging me tight. I sit down as jaxon hands me a box.
“You already got me something”
I said to him panicked, I didn’t need any more than this.
“Yes but you are ours and we wanted to start a new tradition. Here take it”
I take the box and open it, inside is a thumb ring, I recognize the symbol straight away because all 3 of them wear the same one. It’s got the pack symbol on it. It’s white gold and on the face of it had a large circle,inside it was a box, and a triangle overlapped it with a smaller circle in the middle, the middle of the ring where the small circle was, was filled with diamonds and in the middle sat a blue stone.
“This ring will be worn by all Lycan royals. Nomatter where you go, no matter who’s Luna you are. This ring means you will always have a home here, it means you are Lycan and you are pack and pack is family. It means you are ours in every sense of the word”
I drop my head and sob into my hands. They chuckle coming around the table and bringing me into a group hug.
“We love you”
“I love you guys too. Thank you, I love it and I’ll wear it every day for the rest of my life”
They pull away and each of them kiss my head. When they are all seated again lucy passes me an envelope
