Josef sat in the council chamber once more, the little lunch he’d managed to force down refusing to settle as he watched Lady Margaret striding around the room, whipping up passions even further.
Several more council members had been caught as magic users by using the purity orb, and had therefore been removed from all proceedings. Josef had spent an hour trying to see them and Clara, but the most he’d achieved was to be told that all were safe, and that Clara had regained consciousness though she remained groggy.
